Willow River Saloon/Carbone's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Town of Saint Joseph

Told myself I would never go though carbones in burkhardt ever again after my 1st bad experience.

1st experience:

Ordered a large pizza, received it, was much smaller than usual in the large pizza box. I called to complain, the manager very nicely helped me and had the delivery driver deliver me another one for free. Delivery driver gave me the free pizza, then asked to show/give him the old pizza box, and so I did. He told me that this in fact is a large pizza. I tried to explain that the pizza itself was smaller than usual. He then interrupts me and says, “ITS A LARGE PIZZA SIR” - then karma hit perfectly, he walks down our side walk and slips. (Didn’t fall or get hurt thankfully)

2nd experience:

Ordered buy one get one pizza sandwich. I asked, “how many toppings can I get with the deal?” The lady on the phone tells me , “2”. Long story short, after my card was rang up, I asked her why my bill was so high. “Because you ordered an extra topping”

No way to reverse it or anything.

And now here I sit, waiting over 1.5 hours still for a pizza that wa a promised in 45 min because they were low staffed.

Carbones food is great, just stay way from the burkhart location due too very poor...

Can't say enough good things about Chris and the Willow crew! His support and generosity are second to none. We're incredibly blessed to have many generous sponsors of youth activities and non-profits in Hudson, but make no mistake, Chris is in the top category for all he does to support and share with our entire community. To whomever posted about greed, respectfully we couldn't disagree more. That's categorically incorrect. It's sad to see such a generous and caring local business be unfairly disparaged online.

The Chicken & Corn Feed is a fabulous event, with incredible food for a great value. Any restaurant would be hard pressed to maintain prices year after year, that's absurd. Service gets slower every time I go. Pizza sandwiches use to be spectacular. Taste good but crust has become tasteless and usually under cooked. Last night was the last straw for this place. My group of 6 ordered pizza sandwiches. Some multiple toppings others single. 10 minutes after we ordered were told we would have to wait minimum of 30 minutes for our food. Would have been nice to know before we ordered. Would have gone elsewhere. All 6 get their sandwiches. One guys sandwich was half the size of everyone else. Waitress says, "The single topping sandwiches are smaller". What about the other normal sized single topping sandwiches at the table? We ask since when? Have been coming here for 6+ years and never had this happen. Single topping only means one filling not small vs normal size sandwich...Right?? No offer to make it right. Breakfast offerings are no better. Just lost 6 regular customers. Plenty of alternatives in the Hudson area. Tired of the greed and poor service. I Do Not...
