Lake Aire Supper Club — Restaurant in Town of Saratoga

My wife and I had reservations to the Lake Aire Supper Club. We were pleasantly surprised by the roominess of the restaurant compared to the outside view. We love to visit supper clubs and the Lake Aire rates pretty high for the quality of the Mel served and the friendliness of the staff. We were immediately seated and were greeted by our server “Molly” who was attentive and very nice. My wife ordered a Moscato after debating on this or a Pinot Rose. Molly actually brought her a sample of the Pinot beforehand just to see if she would like it. That is a quality server! I had a Bloody Mary and it was very tasty. Our orders consisted of the Stacker Filet with twice baked potato and green beans with a salad with ranch and an order of Eye of Ribeye with baked potato and green beans and a salad with balsamic dressing. Both steaks had great flavor with perfect seasoning, the potatoes were cooked perfectly with my baked being salted and the green beans were crisp tender and very good. Our salads had great flavor and were prepared very well. Molly came around often to offer water, ask if our needs were met and to pick up any dishes. Dessert was a 7 layer cake with homemade creme and a very flavorful grasshopper. I can not complain on anything served or the staff or the supper club decor. Very comfortable restaurant that fulfills a niche in the Wisconsin food...

Cute restaurant, see the potential..... BuT I originally got a tenderloin meal and it was NOT good. I have never returned a meal ever in my life and I could not stomach eating that meal. So I sent it back and the waitress (I do not fault our waitress, I know she's just the messenger.) brings my new order AND a box with the undesired meal in it. She also stated that I would have to pay for the returned food. That was completely unexpected! I would not feed that food to my dog, so I really don't want to even bring it with me ....and I'm being punished by having to pay for it?

I tried it and actually wanted to like it, but cold non-garlic mashed potatoes and meat with a thick unappetizing sauce isn't what I was expecting after such raving reviews.

Besides all of that, the wait for food was very long.

The one pro would be the chicken. The one and only glimmer of hope.

However, the chicken being good isn't enough to make me rate this place any higher.

I'll never come back to this place. Nor would I...

This evening was the worst dining experience I have ever had. Sadly it was at one of the historically "best" supper clubs in our area. First it took an hour and a half to get our meals. No apologies from the server or an ETA at any time. When the food finally does arrive the seafood platters are the tiniest I think I have ever seen. The side items for two of the other person's plates didn't even come with the meal.... and the server had to be asked twice to bring them to the table. Also one person didn't even get their meal until everyone else already was served. By the time that made it to the table the other plates were getting cold. When leaving we voiced our feedback to a man who was taking our check and payment. I have never been given more of a shallow apology. I was so taken back I asked him his name. At first he didn't want to provide this.... but eventually he states his name is Chuck. From what I see on their website this is the OWNER. I will not...
