Crossroads Cafe — Restaurant in Town of Saxeville

My first memory of eating at this place was back in 1985. It was different owners back then. I stop in here once or twice a summer and by no means am a regular. It is a cosy little tiny town diner. If you ARE a regular, it appears you get pretty good service. If you are not a known local, the food is still pretty good, but the service is a bit less welcoming. The day that my bill was wrong, it took three employees to get involved to correct a one dollar mistake, and you would have thought I was trying to steal from them. In the end, I said I would buy a one dollar can of soda to go so they could keep the extra dollar. If I go with someone who is a regular or happen to know someone in the place, it is a very pleasant place to go. Do not expect to eat a late lunch here... they close at 2:00 pm and...

Hours of operation are posted until 1 one the website, on the door etc. Arrived at 11:20 AM as was looking forward to eating here as it's been several years since our last visit. When the server made her way over she informed me that they were closing. Other patrons we're being served and still others waiting for their order. When I inquired I was told that they were out of food. She never asked if we wanted anything to drink, or offered whatever they did have. Just walked away.

Extremely poor customer service. Drove a hour to get here for no other reason than memories from the past. The food was always decent but nothing to write about. No reason...

I drive through rural Wisconsin a lot as a trucker . And have sampled a lot of these small mom n pop restaurants. I must say I haven’t always felt welcomed. For reasons I won’t digress . However when I walked in the door I found it so pleasant nd awesome that I was met with not a bad nor not overly positive attitude. But rather treated just regular. Like everyone else dining . I felt like although I stood out I blended in and I truly appreciate that. Also get the Texas French toast🔥🔥🔥🔥 best I’ve ever had. Will come again everytime I’m passing through lil ole wild rose WI.
