Schag A Val — Restaurant in Town of Schaghticoke

Well, we were going to try to have dinner originally out in saratoga, only to find out it was packed. So after seeing a few suggestions and reviews we went here...

For starters..the dine in area was completely empty. No one. We thought "great " because we had a baby with us who was being a little fussy after being in a car seat for almost 3 hours, we got inside and the girl was almost surprised we wanted to dine in, so she Sat us down and we ordered. As soon as we ordered there was a huge argument in the kitchen. Swearing and I'm pretty sure someone quit right then and there or was fired, I don't know. It was kinda crazy.

So out waitress came out and informed us our food would be out faster than she thought...

So we ordered 2 pizzas..cheese and pepperoni and the other was mushroom and garlic.. The cheese was maybe American? Unlike any pizza I had..kinda gross...and we don't know what else was on there.but it tasted and looked like mayo.and somehow the n pepperoni didn't have any taste..? The mushroom and garlic flavor was also really good, too bad the cheese and mayo sauce ruined it. The only thing that was good about the pizza was the pizza crust and dough was on point. Very good crust. The mozzarella sticks were over cooked and undercooked all at the same time..if you know what I mean, if not imagine over cooked outside and semi warm cheese with no melt or string..they gave us the raspberry sauce to dip in, which probably saved the whole meal. My boyfriend also ordered chicken wings, they were okay. Not bad. But not that great.

Waitress was very polite and she was really nice.

Anyways, would I go back?...

Food is ok usually, but I definitely won't be ordering from here again. Sharpie on top of my family's food? Super sanitary. Not to mention how rude it is. To clarify: we ordered food months ago and it was over an hour late, due to their delivery system changing our address to mechanicville (I TYPED IN SCHAGHTICOKE EVERY TIME). my husband asked for a refund for the cold food and they refused- he still paid for everything and we've ordered multiple times since then. Maybe try telling your customers that their address is showing up wrong in the system so they are aware of it... we would have just started calling to order instead... why would we put in the wrong address purposely?

Response to owners super professional response to me, since Google wont allow me to respond back- WE WERENT AWARE IT CHANGED TO MECHANICVILLE, I TYPED SCHAGHTICOKE IN. We obviously wouldn't put the wrong adress in on purpose. You wrote on something with sharpie that TOUCHED something meant for us to eat. That's unsanitary and unprofessional. Could have at least wrote it on a napkin and taped it there if you wanted to communicate in written form instead of telling us when we...

Yeah, Tuesday special my ass. I just got charged $61.44 for two pizzas and 1 order of mozzarella sticks, when I asked for two. And yes, both pizzas were the same price as the promo says! Absolutely ridiculous because the last 3 orders we’ve placed there, they haven’t gotten our order right or they’ve left something out. Quit stealing peoples money! Last time I called to let them know they left something out, before I could ask for what I actually ordered, the girl goes “what do you want me to do about it”. RUDE! We won’t be back and we’re locals. Do yourself a favor and go across the bridge to Dom’s or Bucciero’s. I guess that’s what you get when you have a bunch of 17 year olds working there....
