Z's Fork Horners — Restaurant in Town of Schley

This isn't from Sue. It is from her husband... My friends, wife and I drove 45 minutes to basically use a gift card I got in mid May for my birthday. Had an OK meal, drinks were a little expensive for this area but food was average. Service was very slow. Waited for up to 10 minutes for drink refills all evening. But when it came time to pay the bill and use the gift card I was told the gift card was from the old owners and the new owners wouldn't accept it. The waitress also said under her breath that she didn't catch a couple others using them and she had to pay the difference out of her tips.(SHAME ON YOU OWNER)… Now I realize business and I can understand to a point the dilemma but after the waiter told the owner I was upset and said I wouldn't be back the owner couldn't resist coming over to argue more. She had to intention of making things right, just came to argue. Little hint.. You would have been better off to zip it. I would have got over it. Still will never come back but wouldn't have got more mad and now I will tell everyone I know this story. Oh and the table right by mine that kept saying as you where making a fool of yourself how they couldn't believe you were acting the way you where.... I hope they where locals so they can tell a few people also.. And to my friend that bought the gift card that hopes he realizes he got burnt and how you wouldn't at least in some way make things somewhat right.... Kenny don't go back.... That being said... With customer service like that I am sure there will be another owner...

The food was awesome, the staff was very friendly, but this was the 2nd time in a row we were asked to leave as they needed our table. Our server politely kept walking past out table until I felt uncomfortable and told her I was done. I had a full alcoholic beverage in front of me, she took my dishes to the kitchen came directly back to our table and asked us to leave. I could understand if there was room for us at the bar, but it was full. While waiting for my husband to pay the bill I counted 6 tables including our that were empty. Our server did say she needed the large tables. She was very polite and thanked us for being understanding, If this weren't the second time that this happened I wouldn't complain. But I didn't eat a fourth of my dinner and had on two sips of my drink. Had it not been for this I probably would have had to give it a 5...

Terrible service. Appetizer came late, with the meal. I gently asked to return it since we had our food and it was late(onion rings turn to mush when you bring them home). She did send it back but charged me for it. When I questioned the bill she proceeded to argue with me stating, " I tried to get you to leave it on your table. Sometimes appetizers come with the meal." No. They don't. When I asked for the manager I was told no one was there. I worked in restaurants. A Friday night manager is always there. If there isn't one that is its own issue.Will never go there again. Terrible. Walley was over cooked crunchy and chewy. So...
