Thursday evening and we just had a wonderful experience at this restaurant which we highly recommend!
We drive out from Boston to meet our family and took them in with no expectations.
We were so excited I forgot to take pictures of the food! This was better than anything we get at home, reasonably priced and was actually homestyle cooking.
We had the loaded chicken, which was absolutely delicious. We had two salmon dinners and the fish was cooked to perfection. Also had a child’s meal of a Bavarian pretzel - chicken fingers and fries - which he liked so much he wanted to take some home for a snack later.
We had two brownie sundaes. Very gooey, delicious and a perfect ending to a meal.
The chef was kind enough to cook us a couple of chicken breasts for the pup - our fur family member - because it was a long trip home and we wanted something for her for the drive home.
Our waitress was very welcoming, accommodating, and just kind and pleasant.
It was money well spent. We enjoyed every moment we shared with you as part of your restaurant family and we felt very welcome.
We highly recommend this restaurant and strongly urge people to give it a try! We look forward to...
Read moreI brought my mom and my sister here for a brunch buffet last Sunday. First of all, finding a place in the area that serves anything other than “diner” breakfast just doesn’t otherwise exist. We live far enough out that Canajoharie, Cobleskill, Duanesburg, and Schoharie/Middleburg are all roughly the same drive time. On a “well, the worst is we’re still full” whim- we drove over to try it. It was awesome! It certainly wasn’t the cheapest, but it’s the only thing like it in the area. Compared to brunch places where I live on Boston’s Northshore the food and the prices were better! It was homemade, fresh, and definitely a cut above. My favorite was the coffee cake and surprisingly the sweet potato (and the super cute little mini bottle of real maple syrup). More than that, I support this woman owned, locally sourced, small business in a town where frankly it can be hard to make a go if you don’t have just the right niche or service. Schoharie has a lot to offer and it’s nice to see it as an offering. I really hope to see this succeed bc my lil sis tells the Mac and cheese is good too... next visit...
Read moreSuch a wonderful dining experience in the heart of Schoharie! The space is on the smaller side, but it's definitely a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and service is prompt. We didn't have to wait very long for our dinner and we were there in the thick of the dinner hour. The food was absolutely delicious and flavorful, and portion sizes were a good size--not overly much, but not gourmet portions either. It was just right, and I even had a few leftovers. The Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes are INCREDIBLE, but if you want a dessert that's simply scrumptious beyond anything you've ever tasted, then get the apple cider donut sundae. They use fresh donuts made that day by the Carrot Barn down the road...'nuff said. I thought I was full before I had this dessert, but as soon as I tasted it I wasn't full anymore and just wanted MORE. Haha. Do yourself a favor and try it--you'll thank me later. Overall we loved our experience at this amazing farm to table restaurant, and we will definitely be back. So excited that a place like this exists...
