PLEASE READ FIRST!!!! Go anywhere else! told table would be ready in 30 mins- ok we will get a drink at the bar- get ready to wait 20-30 (6:45pm) for a drink- ok got the drink wait for table- 30mons went by, then 1 hour, the 1 1/2 hours at the 2 hour mark (8:45pm) we said we will go somewhere else. Then our table buzzer went off so we said we are here we mite just better sit and eat because no where else is serving anymore. Lets not forget to mention we were a table of 4. Why were 2 (3 tops) sat before us.
Some women had to be either a manager or owner asked if we needed drinks. Took drink order then left. Alyssa our server came to table just as owner or manager came back with drinks only to be mocked by Alyssa the server. Awkward!! I’m sorry but you don’t do that in front of customers that is something done behind closed doors.
My 12 shrimp dinner entree came with 6 fried shrimp and the mustard my friend asked for ( for her pattymelt) never was delivered. Lots of Fish on the menu but what about a real steak for us shellfish allergy people. I love fish too just not the shell kind. But you fried it past edible. For that kind of money should be edible. Also you have competition that can do it correctly. Do something that is signature to you not just same thing you can get anywhere. Because the smart people that read will see this review and move on down the road!!!
Lets talk about the strange man in the dirty tank top standing and watching the end of the bar. Do you work here…..? Clearly not a customer because customers don’t just walk behind the bar to help themselves to a beer. That bar held him up vertical for about the 3 hours I spent here.
30 years in this industry and So So sad to see that this place from this view. It clearly still exists because of location ONLY!! Please read reviews first people. If you have expectations leave it at the door when you enter this establishment. If you have a boat. Bring sandwiches in your cooler it will be a better experience than you will get here!! I never write reviews but I am truly trying to save you from wasting your time on this place. There are so many better options that this. I would have sat right next to a bathroom door than waste anymore time , money, or atmosphere on this place.
Owner please take this review to heart because it may keep you open longer. If you need someone to put this place back in order call me or vet your staff a little...
Read moreWe had headed out to visit a few wineries. Was a beautiful fall day , simply looked for a place on the north end of Cayuga lake for dinner on the way home. Found Wolffys with a search and decided to try it. First take was wow right on the water . Walked in and saw your typical small town bar on the left. Host station on the right. Nicely placed tables throughout the right and back . Big windows to have a great lake view. Asked to sit outside and was quickly given a table. A few bar height tables and plenty of standard tables. One of those wedding type tents covering the deck. Completely open with an incredible view , can see up , down and across the lake. Just a beautiful spot for an outing on a beautiful day. Service was prompt , ordered drinks and an app. Fairly busy for a Wednesday, app came and we ordered our dinners. Not a long wait at all , Katie our server was very pleasant and professional. Wings were very good , wife's flatbread and my fish and chips were also good. Hesitate to say this part but am going to because the management handled it very well. Not going to say exactly what happened. But there was a neighbor issue that happened to us , guess hes been an issue a few times. Was a shock to us but it wasnt physical, more vocal. Management and Katie apologized many times , a regular at the bar apologized and even bought me a drink for the inconvenience. They comped our meal , I said they didnt have to but insisted. Which for me gave them even more kudos. Will definitely be back there to enjoy the food , service and views. Ill add that the people who are there often are very nice . Gave you a very comfortable feeling stopping there. My thanks go to Katie , her wonderful manager and owners of Wolffys. Professional, caring , good food and service. On top of a wonderful view of...
Read moreView from the deck was fabulous, but my dinner was the worst. Pasta primavera (means Spring) I was expecting a variety of fresh, crisp vegetables in a light, garlic sauce. What I got was definitely, a spring dish. If you think of spring, as that time of year when the snow is gray and dirty from mud, cinders and salt. My dinner was a gray masterpiece of mainly mushrooms (which I cannot stand, so my bad here), dried tomatoes and over done slimy squash. Pasta dishes generally have a rather large amount of pasta, this dish was lacking. After scraping off the layer of gray mushrooms, picking out the horrible roasted tomatoes (not cherry, not grape, hard, dried, roasted tomatoes) there was not much pasta. The sauce was, not sauce, but more like pasta water. No hint of garlic. Ohh, let me tell you about the chicken add on. You know the frozen turkey sausage crumbles you can buy? The add on chicken, not a half breast cut into strips. Nope. Tiny pieces of chicken resembling crumbles. That was a $4.95 add on…rather pricey. Overall, horribly disappointing 25th anniversary dinner. Server was inconsistent at best. Not at all like Holly-we stopped for drinks earlier in the day and she was great. Dinner another story. Pushy about drinks until dinner came. Obviously there was a problem with my dinner. Then just avoided our table. Didn’t offer water, didn’t offer dessert and just assumed it was all on one check. Had her correct that. For some context, 2 couples visiting the area on anniversary vacation. From a tourist destination, so as locals we understand how ‘tourists’ can be and be perceived. We were not demanding, but asked questions. So we get...
