Fox Run Tavern — Restaurant in Town of Seymour

Worst service ever! We decided to give it another try since I live close. Walked in, 2 guys waiting for to go orders, 2 older gentlemen across from us with just beer and 2 bartenders. We got our drinks, as she handed us the menus I asked if they still had their fish fry. She said yes and walked away. I checked the menu, looked for a board with it written, nothing and no explanation of it. We waited and I watched while one of the men put his beer bottle a foot away from the bartender as she was playing on her phone. He pushed it toward her 3 times asking for another before she put her phone down and finally got him one (rudely) and then went back to her phone. The other girl got the to go orders for the other 2 guys so they were gone when 4 people walked in so she grabbed menus and waited on them, got their drinks as we still sat waiting for an answer about the fish fry. Finally after the 4 were getting their food, I asked to pay for our drinks (loud enough so she’d look up from her phone) paid, NO tip and I am usually a good tipper and walked out! We went to The Sandbar and had excellent service and delicious food! The time before that, the same fox run girl forgot to put our food order in. Her phone is way more important than customers. Took family and the dog to The Fox Run Tavern & Catering today. Food was good, we liked that the kids menu had several options including applesauce as a side. It was so nice to enjoy the beautiful weather on their outdoor patio and see the kids playing and having fun while we waited for our food. They didnt have any outdoor leagues running so the kids were able to play in the volleyball court to search for treasure, make sand angels and get covered with sand. As well as run all over and play hide and seek. I didnt get pictures of the food but we had a kids cheese pizza and fries, mini corndogs and applesauce, the rodeo burger (jalapenos had a nice heat🔥) and sweet potato fries and a grilled buffalo chicken sandwich and chips, with refreshing kitty cocktails. Good food and great atmosphere. Awesome outdoor seating out back with beautiful views. Got there at the end of a rush and still able to get food out pretty quickly. Did not try the drinks, went only for food. Edit because visited a second time and was seated at the bar. Dropping down to three stars. The bartender/waitress was having a bad day and it was quite visible with how she treated the patrons and inattentiveness. A group of boy patrons this time were also throwing glitter and playing music that sounded like a bobcat fight with a two year old on an electric guitar and drums they asked her to turn up to deafening levels despite there being people at tables eating, older people chatting, and people simply trying to enjoy themselves.
