New to the area and decided to give Tosco's a try for the first time after getting a mailer from the restaurant. And unfortunately there will only be a first time. I arrived to pick up my food and was greeted by a dirty old restaurant. The interior was in such rough shape I was second guessing placing my order. I approached the counter and explained that I was picking up an order. The female that I spoke to just said ok and began placing containers in a bag while joking and having a good time with the other employees working with some raw dough. I waited waiting for my order to be placed on the counter to pay and leave. A plastic bag was placed on the counter as I still waited in the background as more customers paid and took their orders. The rest of the customers left no bags were left on the counter and another female employee looked at me and asked what I needed and I explained again I was picking up an order and she looks toward the other employees toward the original employee that greeted me and she said she put my order on the counter. Turns out that they gave my order to another customer. One female employee attempted to go through the telephone call list to try and narrow down who took the wrong food. Meanwhile I'm waiting and waiting . The employee has no luck so she finally says they are going to remake the food ... I waited and waited and waited then finally a guy comes in with a bag explaining he recieved the wrong order. The employee takes the food from then other customer and explains that the food is still warm do I want it. At that point a lot of time had gone by and my family was waiting. So I said yes and took the food .... By the time I get home the food was cold and I could not get out of my head how disgusting the interior of this restaurant was.Makes me wonder how there food safety is with a restaurant looking like this one does. It seem they hire local school kids since it is directly across from the high school. Which is great for the community. But I think maybe if they cared more about the customers and their orders and not each other I could have had a better service experience. Food ended up being just ok nothing great . Maybe if they clean this place up I'll give it...
Read moreLast night we got a takeout order from Tosco’s because we were told they had good food and good service. I have to admit I am beyond frustrated with local pizza spots especially this one. If you’re a business and you offer a service that your customers are paying for, wouldn’t you want your customers to be satisfied with that service?! Well not only was our food cold like it had been sitting (the cheese on the pizza was literally hard), but our order was also wrong. As this was our first time trying Toscos we made an attempt to have these issues resolved as our food was expensive and we felt it was appropriate to call and explain our disappointment. The girl who answered the phone reminded us why we cook at home and barely order takeout to avoid the ignorance of those with terrible customer service skills. Her response to the cold food was, “well aren’t you guys ten miles away”. Seriously!? No we are exactly 4.7 miles away from this establishment and even if we were ten miles away does that justify delivering freezing cold overly priced food?! No, it doesn’t. Then we stated our order was wrong and her resolution was a $5 credit on a $60 bill, which she made no attempt to document and explained she took the order wrong. Again, seriously!? Oh and not to mention the delivery driver didn’t have change and expected us to give him a $17 tip. Are you kidding me!? All around terrible experience. If you’re local and you want good pizza or Italian food, take a drive to Beacon and go to Brothers Trattoria where there’s actually good food and good service. I’m disgusted at how businesses are run on this side of the river. Toscos can keep their $5 credit. We...
Read moreTosco’s Pizzeria in Wallkill is a local favorite that delivers consistently satisfying Italian-American fare with a casual, welcoming vibe. Whether you're grabbing a quick slice or sitting down for a full meal, the menu offers something for everyone—from classic thin-crust pizzas to hearty subs, wraps, wings, and pasta dishes. The pizza is the star here: crisp, flavorful crusts with just the right amount of cheese and sauce. Specialty pies like the Buffalo Chicken and Shrimp Fra Diavolo add a creative twist to traditional offerings. Their Crazy Chicken pizza and jumbo garlic knots are also crowd-pleasers, perfect for sharing or indulging solo 1. Service is generally friendly and attentive, with staff members like Kenny earning praise for going above and beyond 1. While the restaurant is small, it’s kid-friendly and offers plenty of parking, making it a convenient stop for families and locals alike. However, Tosco’s isn’t without its quirks. Prices are a bit on the higher side for a pizzeria, and wait times—especially for salads or phone orders—can stretch longer than expected. Still, the quality of the food and the variety on the menu make it worth the occasional delay. If you're in the Wallkill area and craving pizza with personality, Tosco’s Pizzeria is a solid choice. Just be prepared to pay a little more—and maybe call ahead to...
