Nice little shop, but has a major drawback if you’re looking for a coffee shop with internet access. The Hub blocks SSL-VPN traffic in and out, which means businessmen looking to us VPN and other secure means of Internet communications are out of luck.

Responding to the owner’s reply: Sorry, but I was not connecting to your in house secure wireless. SSL-VPN tunneling is what business and IT professionals use to make secure Internet connections to their ‘home’ business networks. This allows them to ‘dial in’ to a network so as to work like they are at that location. I could not do that from your shop, I was getting stopped before I even got out of the building. Something in your setup is blocking VPN-based traffic. As an on call IT professional I cannot use your internet to connect to my company’s network. As a result, I likely will no long frequent your business since I cannot use VPN. It has nothing to do with the coffee or the service I received, I need that type of access to do my job remotely. If you want you can test this yourself by trying to do an Internet Speed Test. These will all fail because they use SSL-VPN based technology. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS!!!! DO NOT HAVE YOUR EVENT AT THIS PLACE!!! SUE (the owner) is the biggest Karen you’ll ever meet! We were there for an “all ages” cornhole tournament, she came around and said that no one under the age of 21 can be in the building/property without a parent/guardian, which is false because we’ve been to this hall for other cornhole tournaments with citizens of all ages previously and not a word was said! She walked around, harassed every person and all our children about where their parents were, made them all wear wristbands so they couldn’t purchase alcohol. Mind you, she put wristbands on 2 year old children! Apparently the ones that know how to order drinks from a bar! Secondly, she stated we couldn’t bring in our own water bottles yet had no bottled water for purchase on a 80+ degree day with over 100+ cornhole players. She said we disrespected the bar by having children there, so do not bring your children! It is not a family friendly venue! Food is so mediocre and you’re better off grilling on your own. Such a shame that she cared more about harassing every patron instead of creating more business...

new coffee joint in pl mouth sure to be a hit, solid 4 stars, food / drinks are good, staff is ok... Response: I do not mind telling you why 4 stars instead of 5. The service was not immediate nor was it considerate. Id est: i have been here multiple times and apparently the conversation between employees is more important then your customers (sometimes they act as if my business is an inconvenience) this has happened multiple times with me and in different size groups on different days. listen i liked the bank, but you do have a better product, however service is lacking.... im glad you want to improve Susan.... maybe you will get 5 stars in the future, it usually take me about 1 year to change...
