The Sherman Hotel Steakhouse and Saloon — Restaurant in Town of Sherman

It was my parents 56 anniversary so I made reservations for 9 of us to celebrate. We wanted 6pm reservation but was asked if we could do it later as they are busy at 6. I said no problem and we agreed on 7. They asked that I find out what everyone wanted for meat and to call them back with it. I did that and verified our 7 pm reservation. When we arrived at 7 on Saturday there was no table ready for us. We were told they were busy and that we would have to wait. They finally cleared a table of 6 but we have 9 people. With a lot of rolling of eyes and slamming around they clear another table to accommodate us all. When this was going on another couple got up from their table and left because they had been waiting so long with no service. After finally getting seated we sat for 15min waiting for menus or to order our drinks but no one even acknowledge us. We finally got up and left because we were not waiting any longer. Saturday evening 6:30, had reservations for 8. Tables were not ready, waitress had to ask another couple to move to a different table to accommodate. The food was good, the waitress did her best given she was the only waitress working. Sad to see several tables get up and leave. We had to wait 30 minutes just to get a drink and order. Not ideal with a 4 year old and a 1 year old. No kids cups, and 3 items on the dinner menu were not available. I give the waitress credit, she was polite even being busy. I have had the pleasure of working in Sherman for the past few weeks. First week in town I checked out the hotel for lunch and have NOT been able to stop going back. The atmosphere of the hotel and restaurant is amazing. The staff beyond amazing. The food is out of this world with how good it is. Not a single complaint about this establishment. Steaks wings burgers all amazing. I attempted the 4lb ribeye challenge unfortunately couldn't pull it off but hope someone sees this and gives it a shot. The owner is one of the best...
