Quaint nice place with room to host more. I was there on a quiet Tuesday evening but it seemed to get busier as the night went on. The plates were carefully and beautifully presented. We had a sinful appetizer of cheese and chorizo that I know I will pay for later! I had enchiladas. I liked the Verde (a little heat) better than the tomatillo sauce (a little bitter). My dining companion had the sopas, both chicken and pork, and enjoyed them. I took the avocado off of everything and did without sour cream, and other probably would enjoy those as part of the meal. Everything was fresh. I will be back when I'm back in town!

Mi hacienda always has the best food! Empanadas are fantastic, always fresh, and loads of food for the price. Chorizo nachos and Birria Tacos are also a must have at this location. Super authentic and absolutely in the top two if not the best for Mexican restaurants in all of wayne county hands down. Wait times for pickup are short and the staff is always super nice. Super excited to see they've expanded and opened a new restaurant in Sodus point too that's open seasonally. If you're in the area and looking for food, this is the place to go!

It’s a good experience and worth going if you are in the area. It wasn’t the best food I’ve had and everything felt under flavored but it was fresh tasting. Service was awkward and language barriers for me made communicating what I wanted hard. Lots of people walking in and out of the restaurant for seemingly no reason. I would go back someday still and try again even if it wasn’t the best first experience.

Maria at Mi Hacienda helped rescue a truly miserable day for us! Our vehicle broke down on the I-90 highway near Rochester, NY and we were stuck on the shoulder of that hot, noisy, scary road for many hours. We arrange a tow by Featherly's Garage and after a harrowing day we found ourselves tired, stressed and hungry in the friendly little town of Sodus.

We were too tired to think straight so we went to the road and randomly picked the direction that took us to Mi Hacienda and our delightful evening with the owner Maria!

Finding an authentic Mexican Restaurant in the farming community of Sodus was a delight and as soon as we entered the door we felt welcomed. Maria took one look at us a decided we needed cerveza (Pacifico) and guacamole rapido. That was delivered quickly along with freshly made chips and two of her homemade sauces. The brown sauce was unique in my experience, a surprising mix of subtle chilies a touch of garlic and something wonderful hinting of chipotle & chocolate.

We spent some time to explore the lengthy menu and ended up sampling the Mi Hacienda chicken fajitas tacos and milanesa de res. Both were excellent and getting to know Maria and hearing the soulful story of how the restaurant was created as a tribute to her mother made for and excellent rescue from our challenging day.

I'd suggest making a detour to this excellent eatery if you are...

Mi Hacienda Jalisciense Mexican Restaurant is located in Alton, NY near the intersection of Rt. 14 and Ridge Rd. The building is pretty large with a big parking lot in the back and a couple of parking spaces in front. The building has a friendly and inviting look to it and the inside looks really nice. There are tables and chairs for dining on both sides of the main room and there's a larger dining area to fit larger crowds and parties. They offer take out and I often eat in. When I call in an order it's always quick and easy and usually ready in less than 30 minutes. The food was very well prepared and tastes excellent. The menu is extensive and serves real authentic Mexican food and drinks that you'll crave. The staff that waited on my family and I were very friendly, professional and quick. They have bathrooms that stay clean and the atmosphere in the dining area is light and friendly with good vibes. I rate 4 stars for great food and service....

Being vegan I can only eat what is beans and rice but both are very good. The salsa is great and they have a home made hot sauce on the side as well.

Very nice and welcoming owner. Definitely a place to support with large portions.

I’m back after three years and Maria has opened again to my happiness. Anyplace that offers vegan has got a great start. I bring and meet my Mexican friends here and we all enjoy the food and atmosphere.

If looking for Mexican food, then you’d better come here. If your not looking for Mexican food then you’d better still come here.

Ok I’m back again as usual. Maria really deserves 5 stars this time. She made this vegan a wonderful enchilada plate with fresh veggies m, a very good red salsa and with the ask a wonderful hotter salsa. All the 6 plates had too much food and my Mexican godson said, “perfect”. For lunch the place was half full of local workers but where are the gringos. The community is missing a great...
