We took our takeout meal to a sunset view since Covid-19 restrictions still apply here. The smells were too tempting and we devoured half our meal before we remembered to take pictures for this review. We had wanted to sample the wings and corn salad but they were out of these (we were very late on a Saturday evening so that's understandable). So we enjoyed the Brisket with Carolina sauce, the cheddar kielbasa, and sides of tender cornbread, chilly dilly beans, freshly made coleslaw and gently spiced salt potatoes. Everything was prepared to perfection. The brisket was so tender, tasty and melted in my mouth. Not too fatty either. The sides were the "usual" but different in a fresh new fun way- I wished I'd ordered two of each so we wouldn't have to share! Lol. Close to where we spend our summers on Sodus Bay I'm hoping that the friendly people at this new-to-us eatery recognize us as regulars this summer. I think there will be a second location on the other side of the Bay too, very convenient. My only suggestions- have crackers or some frozen thing to microwave quickly for the gluten free carb substitute. Many times we pay an up charge for some large bun we didn't want anyway but we need something so consider researching a good organic muffin, cracker or other bun substitute that fits the theme and doesn't cost too much. Have an actual gluten free person sample it first so you know it's okay. Also, I'd love to see a smoked turkey or portabella for my vegetarian friends or perhaps pulled chicken barbecue too.

A very friendly, cheerful place with a great country setting. Hard to see in the dark, but located right off of 104 with a great big lighted sign there. Ramp to the door is helpful for those with accessibility needs. The food was fair, with the meats being the most interesting items. I enjoyed the BLT salad with smoked turkey. The turkey was tasty. The salty bacon bits were a little hard on my teeth but didn't seem as salty mixed with the salad. It was served with a creamy dill dressing that was perfect for it. The wings got a mixed review. I thought they were okay but some thought they had been refried to heat them up. Beware, the spicy Asian sauce is more like teriyaki, not spicy at all. BBQ was sweet. Reports of the brisket were positive, tasty but a bit tough. The best part of the Mac and cheese with bacon was the 🥓 (bacon). All in all I would definitely go back, if just for the very kind and patient service received!

The place is small - more geared for takeout than sit-down dining. We thought the place was very clean too. The foodie in me liked the Cuban Sandwich (the daily special) - and I liked the Cole slaw (letting it sit for a day or two might make it better). I thought the bacon Mac & cheese needed to be 'cheesier' and the baked beans were just OK. I'm a huge fan of Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches - and I like other variants - but this is the second place I've gotten one (this was a brisket cheesesteak) - that didn't include cream cheese. The sandwich certainly wasn't inedible, it just wasn't great - just ok.

First time here and will definitely be back! Wife and I split a little bit of everything including the pulled pork, brisket and prime rib and they were all "on point;" tender with a good smoke flavor. We both wish we got another side of the pulled pork and brisket, which was an option, because they were so good. The horseradish sauce was probably the best I ever had and you can tell they make it in house. I kept thinking of having it on a smoked beef on weck sandwich or just a french dip...don't know if that's a special at any point, but it should be! Also will want to try the pastrami next time hopefully in a "mile high" sandwich. Along with great food, the staff was very friendly especially for being on the young side and the place looked very clean. Loved the numerous shout outs to local businesses; love to see local supporting local.

My only recommendation would be to have more of a smoky flavor throughout the sides. They were good, but thought they could use a little something to make them stand out on their own. I think adding more smoke to it in some way would take the sides from good to great. Overall, this is a great local place and extremely easy to get to right off of 104. I personally think it's best BBQ in the finger lakes region outside of Rochester. The meat is the star and you can tell that they put effort into quality. We will be...

Great smoked meats. Pork ribs as good as I've had at any restaurant. Brisket and Kielbasa good too. The rubs are really nice.

Sauces... Not so much, but luckily the meat is good enough not to need sauce.

Sides were ok. Garlic salt potatoes were definitely good.

They do a kind of "half-service" where you order at the counter and they bring it out to you, which is fine we certainly didn't mind.

Sat outside on a picnic bench at it was a nice place to be. Staff was friendly and the facility looked clean.

Saturday night we came at 5, and had reservations, but we got the feeling reservations weren't a big deal here as we could have just walked in and sat down. Seemed like takeout was very popular, perhaps even moreso than their in-house... making getting in a bit easier.

Beer selection was average in quality, on a short list. Glad it wasn't macro, but would have liked an IPA of some sort on tap.

Overall if I find myself in Sodus again I would definitely stop. I would recommend folks going through the area stop by and...
