I've been here twice now, and both times the food was EXCELLENT, tasted fresh and home-made and the serving sizes were a fantastic. Can't say enough good things about the food...and they make a Bloody Mary that will knock your socks off! The service is another story entirely. First time I went there mid-day, bar was fairly full so we sat at a table and the bartender/waitress was super friendly and her service was fun and professional and I was so happy to find such a great place so close to home. The second time I went there, again mid afternoon, not at all busy ( less than ten customers in the whole place and all at the bar.) so we sat at the bar to save the bartender/waitress some extra steps. She was a total btch: She ignored our presence altogether for about 5 minutes and after we called her over, she condescended to give us menus and offer us a drink. She couldn't ( or wouldn't) tell us what was on tap and I had to get up and go look. Then she took a good 10 minutes to pull our beers, because she was too busy drying bar glasses and chatting up the men at the other end of the bar! She continued to ignore us entirely for another 10-15 minutes before eventually wandering over to see if we wanted to order food....I guess I think that when customers ask for menus, you might assume that they will want to order food, but maybe that's just me. when all was (not) said and (not) done we couldn't place a food order for more than 1/2 hour! Not kidding..it was like we were getting "Punked" for some TV show. I was getting a bit irate by that time, because I had recommended this place and brought out of town friends here, and this woman was treating us like we had crapped on her toast, and for no reason whatsoever. I have been both a server and a bartender, and I treat everyone who does those jobs VERY well, and I had never seen this woman before in my life. She continued to give us service only if we actually called her over for something, she never asked how our meals were, wouldn't tell us how the shake a day worked ( we all wanted to play a round) and in generally just continued to behave in a manner that should result in her immediate termination. We never complained, and even though we had to serach out and get our to-go boxes ourselves from the supply area, I still tipped this btch 15%, because I know how little mid-day bartenders make usually, but I tell you that I was steaming by the time we left. Now I'm torn...I love the food, the drinks and the general atmosphere at this place, and it's so convenient to my home, but feel that I cannot give my patronage to a restaurant/bar who employs people as rude as this woman was to us. If I were to rate this establishment based on my first visit, it would be a solid 5 stars. However, based on my second visit, I would not be inclined to return at all, nor would I recommend it to anyone who appreciates polite service. Management needs to address...

I used Not Justa Catering to cater my wedding on 10/8/16. Bob and Laura are absolutely terrible to work with. They don't return phone calls or do what they say they are going to do. I've emailed Laura several times and never received an answer. I met with her 2 months before the big day to get everything confirmed. She was supposed to get prices on punch and napkins for me. Never heard from her. It was a week and a half before my wedding. They had $1500 deposit down and I still hadn't heard from them to get a head count. I ended up called them. She still hadn't gotten prices for me. The day of was a disaster. We had agreed that it would be a buffet style dinner, but I wanted people serving the food so no one went up and took too much. I also inquired about having enough food - most places charge a percentage extra to accommodate for people taking more or going up for seconds. I was assured they already account for this and they've never run out of food in 30 years. So I gave them a head count of 150 (even though I only had 145 confirmed). 135 people actually showed up. My new husband started the buffet line. There was a server who dished up our roast beef. She put meat on my plate and my husband's plate, then turned around and said "I'm not doing this all night". So no one served the food. They ended up running out of food! I had 2 tables that did not eat. Bob said not to worry and that he already made a call and more food was on the way, and it will be there in 20 minutes. 40 minutes later...no food. Those 2 tables eventually got served, but it was almost an hour later. And the food they brought in wasn't even the same as the food we ordered! Bob told us he was so embarrassed and they had enough food for 250 people. That is impossible. My parents were more embarrassed than anyone. I thought maybe we would get a phone call later or something apologizing, but it is more than 3 weeks after our wedding and we have received nothing. I would never recommend this place to cater....

Please do NOT go here. Very disappointed. Me and my friends decided to go for a late brunch and I was really excited to take them here. We called from the parking lot and asked if the cafe was busy or if there was a wait and the woman on the phone informed us there would be no wait as the cafe is nearly empty. We walked inside and it was very full, with only two tables empty. That was strange but we didn’t mind. However it took us over an hour to receive our food even after seeing more than 4 tables who came in after us order, eat, and leave before we even received our food.

We all got drinks as well that were all wrong. The hot toddy was luke warm, very watery, and no lemon or honey in it. About 30 minutes later I went to the bar (because no server came) and got it remade. This time it was warmer and had lemon and honey but still very watery. I just let it go. The mimosa looked wrong and tasted like IPA mixed with orange juice. It was disgusting. And the vodka soda with lime, we are certain had no vodka in it.

By the time our food came over an hour later (by the way we were delivered the wrong food first that went to a table that came in 30 minutes after we had), it was luke warm and the order had been mixed up. The fries were also very soggy which was extra irritating because we paid extra for them and they felt reheated but still not even warm. The server never came to check on us once in the hour and a half that we were there, other than to finally bring over our food.

Moral of the story: drinks were wrong (and bad tasting), food was extremely late and cold, and the service was awful. We have all been servers for years and so we tend to go easy on other servers because we know the struggle it can be. However, this was definitely an exception to that rule. We won’t be going back and I urge other people to do the same. Very...

Stopped here for lunch on the 26th of December to find that there was snow pushed into both handicapped parking spots. I use a wheelchair so this was a major issue for me as I need to “roll” in. We could not even park, so my husband backed into the parking spot. I was still not able to even get out of the passenger side door (I’m a super independent person so I was determined to get in). So my husband ended up finding a shovel to remove the snow in front of the curb cut. We got into the restaurant and the only tables that were in the bar area were high tables, so we went to the other room and sat down. After 10 min or so (we were Googling other places to eat because we decided after only having high tables in the bar area, we did not want to give this establishment our business); our waitress came and we asked if we could talk to the manager. We told the manager about how there is snow pushed in the handicap spot and her reaction was - oh I think there was a car parked there overnight? Which made no sense?! The manager did not care that she lost our business. But I just wanted to share our experience. Putting low tables in the bar area and NOT pushing snow into handicapped spots would help out your guests in wheelchairs.

Hands down my favorite spot in the 'sconsin 😆 was brought there by a friend and got to meet a bunch of great people over a few visits! The food was impeccable, everything I had was beyond delicious! The service was amazing, although while eating breakfast with one employee Miah, he made it clear the young buck in the kitchen didn't know what he was doing.. but through the few simple mistakes he made, that wasn't able to damper the homey atmosphere the cafe portrayed. I was even lucky enough to be there for my friend's fire performance inside the venue! On your visit, check out the super cool giant table that has burn etchings on it with epoxy coating! The man who did it, Wilson, is a genius builder and I am eagerly looking forward to seeing more of his designed tables in the dining area on my next time through! Thank y'all so very much for your hospitality and unforgettable experience! I shall see you once again soon enough!😄

This meal was 5 stars, but we ate here earlier this week and it was 3 stars. Today, the malt and French toast were great. My husband got the chicken n waffles and liked it. Last time, I ordered a basket of French fries. It was $6 for a small basket of French fries. I know it says they’re homemade which is cool, but they tasted burnt and lacked taste.
