Goldberg's Famous Bagels — Restaurant in Town of Southampton

I've been going to Goldberg's for 2 decades+ and was tempted to give them a second star for how good they used to be and for their new gf/vg variety but this recent experience was just so bad, I couldn't do it.

Service: Awful, we were the only people ordering when we got there, they prepared my two sandwiches, then they let them sit for about 15 minutes, done, while making sandwiches for other people who came in and checking them all out instead of my two sandwiches, as I stood there by the checkout waiting to pay. Finally got one of their attentions to pay, not sure how long I would have waited otherwise.

Food: Got two sandwiches. Gluten-free everything bagel with plain vegan cream cheese and lox - this was awful, sadly. Bagel was so hard it hurt my teeth and gums to eat every bite. Scrapping the bagel was the smart option here.

2nd sandwich: Gluten-free plain with bacon and egg. I was able to eat the bagel on this, it was soggy and not too warm anymore. A double disappointment. Edible at least.

$28+ later for 2 sandwiches and I'm still hungry, awesomeeee.

You would think moving to a bigger location they would actualy have the bagels one wants to order but nope still out of some. Now on to the food who In there right mind puts the cheese outside the omelet that’s the stupidest thing ever now I got molten cheese outside my omelet. And the hashbrown placed nicely on top of the molten cheese making The hash brown cheese covered so very smart now all the cheese is on the hashbrown and not on my omelet straight stupidity. I’m hen I had asked for sausage o. The side so a side of sausage he instead of that on the side let’s throws that right in the cheese mess that is my omelet now I have a cheese covered hashbrown that wasn’t even part of the omelet order was for another person. I am shocked at how bad the bagels are here, being bagels are the primary offering. Unfortunately, it's the only bagel place I know of in the area (if you know of any other options - please let me know!). More than 1/2 the bagels on display at 8:00 am were burnt - yet, I still decided to take 6 bagels (plain/nothing on them - with large coffee, price was $19.50). I asked for bagels that were not burnt, but it was inevitable that some would be. The whole wheat bagel I had (which was burnt and I chose to eat anyhow to leave the better ones for the kids), was hard and difficult to chew. How is it that Goldberg's has several locations and can't perfect the one item it sells?
