Tony's Asian Fusion — Restaurant in Town of Southampton

Bad food, bad service, bad atmosphere. I don’t know if the ownership changed in this place or what happened. But This place has gone downhill big time!!! We use to always stop in here on way home from Hamptons for quick good sushi. My family lives close by too, so we would go with them sometimes. We had heard it went downhill. But this wasn’t just really bad. It was horrible!!! All around!!! There was hardly anyone there so we were allowed to seat ourselves wherever we wanted. When we sat down table was sticky and the one place setting on table had one dirty soy sauce bowl. No other place settings. Table was never cleaned nor set for us. We ordered drinks and waters for table. And placed our order at same time. Our drinks came out. My hot sake was tepid and horrible, but I just drank it slowly and didn’t say anything. But then our waters never came out and we never saw the waitress again for like a half hour!!! Finally she came out with my husbands tuna avocado roll, no chopsticks, no soy sauce bowls, no silverware, no knapkins still. She apologized and did offer him another wine on the house for how she forgot everything. 🙄I was like can we just get what we ordered please. At this point we still had no waters, no silverware etc. Then it just got worse. Water pitcher came out with all dirty glasses. Husband just wiped his clean. Another waitress apologized and brought one clean one that was wet. 🙄 We never got our limes. At this point my husband was like let’s just be happy with what we do get that we ordered. 🙄Then She came back out with miso soup that tasted like wonton soup with the wontons partly removed! 😳 and a few scallions and tofus and seaweeds added instead. We sucked it up, ate it and was like ok. 😳then all the food came out at once, and we still had to ask for soy sauce bowls and chopsticks. The soy sauce bowls all came out dirty. Don't know if there dishwasher broke or what. But this place was completely off all around. The salmon carpaccio wasn’t prepared as usual, no mango, watered down sauce, soggy cucumbers, was horrible. My son ended up having a hair under his salmon carpaccio so he stopped eating and was grossed out. I couldn’t even get him to eat anything after. My sushi was all iffy. I picked a little and then stopped eating it all together. Was too worried about taking any chances w bad sushi. Not worth it. The One on the north fork is so much better. Don’t know if it went down hill too but this was a huge disappointment and now written off. I couldn’t get the bad taste out of my mouth. Just gross. Like supermarket sushi. 👎🏻😏scratched off our stops.🤢 skip this one. Hopefully we’ll make it thru the night...

We went on a Friday afternoon and as expected, the restaurant was nearly empty but they were kind enough to fire up the Hibachi just for 2 people. The lady taking our order was extremely hard to understand. I ordered an unsweet tea and didn't understand what she was saying, we thought she said tea with milk and I said yes okay, figuring I'll just go with it,. It was a can of green tea which was fine but I just could not understand this lady. Anyway. Then We ordered the sushi appetizer which comes with a mixed assortment. She asked me again if I wanted sashimi or sushi and I said sushi. Well, we got sashimi which my friend is not into and did not eat. Luckily our Hibachi lunch was on point, the cook made sure to check with us again before starting his prep. I'd go again because there aren't many Hibachi...

There are several Tonys Asian Fusion locations this however is my favorite. The menu is great with many specialty rolls to choose from. Sushi is my thing I am, extremely picky. I have not been disappointed yet. The appetizers are all good with some true stand outs, sushi tacos and Sushi pizza are both excellent choices. Don’t like whats in them, tell your server how you would like them. Mine had no salmon but did have spicy tuna.

The chinese food is top notch reminiscent of Some of the great Chinese restaurants when Chinese food was King.

I love the plum wine and hot saki, the drinks all look great, my friends would have been very vocal if they were not happy with their cocktails. I highly recommend this...
