Wow. First time here and probably the last. Arrived after a nice day drive through the south shore, referred here by a few. Way before dinner diners, maybe 4 tables outside NO ONE INSIDE. Asked for a 2 person table towards middle of restaurant, told hostess, first time here. Would like a great view of water. She was rude and not happy at all, what a terrible attitude. Sat down, TWENTY MINUTES not a soul came to our table. No drink offer, no water, nothing. We asked a busperson for a server. We should have left. Appetizers ok, no dressing on my salad, asked 3 people, another 10 minutes. Wow. Dinner came and my husband's seafood pasta had a strand of 4 inch wire, called a curly kate, dishwasher stainless steel wire in his 3rd clam. Omg, we flipped. This cleaning curly kate is ILLEGAL in Suffolk county, shellfish is only to be cleaned with a NYLON BRUSH. My husband is 30 plus years in food service. The manager Lance (?) tried to explain. No, no explanation here. That piece of wire if swallowed.....severe complications. Not much done everyone ran away and we told him, this was such a terrible atmosphere since we walked in. And now the wire. We left, refused to pay any bill, took care of our server anyway. And that ignorant hostess station person had the gall to say have a great night as we left. This place needs an attitude and kitchen protocol overhaul asap. Where is...

shame this establishment has no regard for people who require service animals. I felt truly discriminated and disrespected,
A note to the owners, review the ADA requirements and be ware of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were really looking forward to dining at Trumpets on the Bay, but unfortunately, the experience didnāt come close to justifying the nearly $900 bill.
When we arrived, the restaurant was almost empty, which made the poor service and long delays even more surprising. Our table ordered three filetsāall were overcooked. We sent them back, and the replacements came out nearly raw inside. The kitchen ended up throwing the same steaks back on the grill, and while they were finally edible, the rest of our party had already finished eating by then.
The crab cakes were another major letdownāovercooked and had a fishy taste that made them hard to enjoy. For a restaurant that presents itself as fine dining, the quality and timing were incredibly disappointing.
To make matters worse, when we tried to speak with the manager about the situation, she wouldnāt even look us in the eyes. Her dismissive attitude made it feel like she thought we were making it all up, which added insult to an already disappointing experience. Keep in mind we didnāt ask for money off or a discount.
Given the price and the overall experience, we wonāt be returning. Definitely...
