Wisconsin Riverside Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Spring Green

Lovely interior. Great view from the dining room, but obscured at times by patrons who needed to smoke. Two of us had burgers and they were great, however we spent the entire time swatting flies we were told are coming in from doors on the water side. Old Fashioneds are a favorite. We were quite disappointed in their version. It was soda and cherry juice. When asked, we were surprised they didn't try to remake and improve. We asked them to refund one of two drinks and they did, which we appreciated. We were really looking forward to this place but can't recommend based on our experience. I think they might need to consider a designated smoking area that isn't directly in front of the dining room windows, additional training for the bartender who was working the bar on Oct 8th, both in technical and soft skills, and try to implement something to reduce flies in the...

Stopped in to have lunch here today. I had the Hybird Burger, with Sweet Potato fries, and salad bar. The Salad bar is your basic all you can eat salad bar with most of the “typical” fixings. Everything I had seemed fresh and tasted as a salad should. My Burger and Sweet Potato Fries were fantastic!!! The Hybrid Burger 🍔 had a jalapeño, BBQ, Jack Cheese, mix with Bacon on it. The Sweet Potato Fries were some of the biggest and best fries I have ever had, they were delicious. Also they served this with a home made southwest type of dip for the burger and fries. I liked it so much I asked for more of the dip. The view I had today was of the Wisconsin River and the river valley. The atmosphere was friendly, inviting, and I really liked it. Went for my birthday for the Friday night fish fry. We were a party of two. Since no tables for two were open in the dining room the hostess pointed to a table in the bar area. There were two people standing up with drinks at the table. We didn’t want to kick them off the table so we went back to the hostess. She showed us to a table for four in the dining room. We waited ten minutes for the waitress to come over so we ordered drinks and our meals right away. We were just finishing dinner and I had half my drink left. The waitress came over and asked if we would be done soon as she had a party of four waiting for a table. I chugged my birthday drink and we left. Big mistake. We go there frequently but not anymore.
