Bucciero's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Town of Stillwater

We had a long busy day and hadn't had dinner yet so I ordered from Bucciero's for the first time ever. I was tired of the same old two places that I've been ordering from for the past several years and I noticed this place on the way to work a couple of months ago. "Let's try some place new" I said to my husband. First, I have to say that the pizza was not bad but they got the order wrong. When we called to order, it was Friday night at 8:20p. My husband called and it rang and rang, no answer. He asked me to check on google to be sure that they were open. I checked and sure enough they were. So he tried again. It rang and rang. He was going to hang up and I told him just to let it ring a few more times. They finally answered. He ordered the 24 cut 20 wing special with sausage on the pizza and the wings "very very" crispy with medium sauce (most other places include soda too, but they didn't). He went to pick it up and returned home to 5 very hungry people. I opened the box and there were two 12 cut, plain cheese pizzas. I was somewhat upset because my 5 year old grandson won't eat pizza unless there is sausage on it. So my husband called back and they graciously offered to make another pizza for us. My husband left the house with the cheese pizza to bring it back in exchange for the other. Meanwhile, it's now going on 9:15p and we still hadn't eaten dinner. By the time he got back at 9:30p, my grandson was sound asleep so he ended up with no dinner. The rest of us started to eat and the pizza wasn't bad except that the cheese could have been just a little bit more melted as you could still see the strings and the sausage that we had such a hard time getting, was very lacking on the pizza. The wings, on the other hand, were the worst wings I have ever had. First, they were not crispy at all even though we specified that we want them "very very" crispy. These were not even golden brown. My son ate the first wing and asked "did you order these plain?". I told him that we ordered with medium sauce as we always do. I ended up cracking open a bottle of Nance's wing sauce and some Fred's hot sauce and making my own sauce. I really wanted to be happy with this place because I am truly tired of the other places. But I don't believe that I will order from here again. I think that because it was Friday night, they were probably very busy with the bar and couldn't be bothered to listen to the phone call with...

Of course the pizza is awesome as always! But let me tell you what they have here! I don't say this lightly because for the third time this week I had the Italian mixed sub with hot pepper spread and house Italian dressing please!!! And the bread or sub roll comes all the way from ninos bakery on central ave in Albany just so happens I shoveld snow for that bakery 40 plus years ago. But back to buccieros I honestly believe this Italian mixed sub here can't and won't be beat by anyone even close to stillwater mechanicville or the surrounding area I know someone will be saying something about the Deli down the road but sorry not even close I had every bodies in this area this is the best hands down and nobody in a close 2nd in my book I have 35 years cooking under my belt so this complement doesn't come easy don't take my word come see for yourself!!! Bucciero's is and has always been a great place to order take out from or go eat in at. Staff is great and atmosphere is great. Dominic Bucciero and Joey Bucciero are both friendly, kind, awesome guys who always do a great job and treat people amazingly.
