There's much to be said here so “brief” this is not. (note that in reading the reviews of others a pattern of not-so-brief rebuttals from the facility owner for any negatives, some comments rather snarky, something that unto itself tells a story!) The atmosphere is as it is portrayed in the facility photos, let's give the designer compliments for a good look. If more designers however would take acoustics into account, diners would undoubtably have a better experience. You will see in the photo a dining room photo with a private room in the distance. This is seriously noisy as it has nothing in the room but tables, chairs, high ceiling, so the room echoes with noise. The staff should have at least offered to close the barn doors but did not. The ordering process is old school, with staff taking notes on a diner note pad. We had a party of 18, which were three families dining together. As we do this often in the Saratoga area, we try to actually sit our families conveniently so that we could aid the staff to ring three checks rather easily. To this we explained. We were told "no". Ok; not helpful or client-centered, so we proceeded. The food came out in a very reasonable time, and considering the large party and the overall activity of the restaurant, and the fact that almost all meals were delivered within 3-5 minutes of the first meal, props to the kitchen staff for timeliness. The dining staff exhibited a very "relaxed" process for delivering food. Staff members walked in, carrying multiple plates of ready food and shouted "who had the _____". So this was repeated 8-9 times. This process is not the fault of the staff, simply poor training processes from order taking, and how to deliver efficiently, and quietly, with all diners receiving the food ordered. The food quality was above average for a golf club greenside grill. This is not a menu that would somehow standout among Saratoga restaurants. About one third of our party felt their meal was "very good", while the rest simply rated it "very average". The difference from our group is the difference between ever returning to this as a dining option or not. Meal costs were fair, a completed meal with 22%-25% gratuity averaging $40-$45pp. I will note that other restaurants I review, where service is exemplary will typically receive anywhere from 35-40% gratuity for great service...the kind where you know you will return! The dining room staff became otherwise "busy" once the meals were delivered, with our diners having to ask multiple times to refill beverages. A manager visited the room asking how things were...seemingly not noticing or attempting to capture what was going on at the table. She asked "how is everything", one of our diners responded positively, and the manager flew out of the room. Again...training at another level is needed. A long table of 18 people. IF you don't spend a moment actually looking at the table from end to end; possibly engaging two or three individuals with questions about the experience...how can this "visit" to our room add any value to the dining experience; or any feedback to help your restaurant get better at what it presents to their customers. It would not have taken much to see nine water glasses empty for example. Speed to finish seemed to be the next task on the staff's to-do list. Four of our family were still eating when the staff announced, "I have to-go boxes, who needs one". Some plates were cleared...not by clearing to a side tray and stand, but taken into the kitchen two plates at a time, and no one returning for minutes later to remove more. The side tray and stand were indeed in the room so one of our guests got up and cleared the rest of the table himself to the stand. All diners can decide for themselves if this is a dining experience they want to try. We leave with a fair opinion about atmosphere, food quality, and kitchen efficiency, and a very poor opinion about the level of training offered the staff to produce a great dining experience.

Hidden potential. Truly a spot for those in the know, because boy is this place out on the edge of town. Scouring the google maps for new restaurants I haven't tried nearby, and I stumbled upon this one only thanks to looking for Dock Brown's Ordered over the phone, going with an order of the Pretzel & Queso and a Turkey Ruben with Onion Rings. Given that this is an exclusive restaurant for a golf course, the prices matched the concept, and padded down my wallet for just over $40. Ouchie. Back home I found myself loving the queso, perfectly cheesy and just the right level of heat. The pretzel sadly was underbaked, as there were globs of unbaked dough very visible at a glance. At least they got the idea right that pretzel for a queso dip, does not need any salt, because the dip is as salty as needs to be already. The ruben on the other hand was phenomenal. Tasty and filling, jam packed full of turkey and sauerkraut with a nice level of swiss and russian. The onion rings were a little softer than I tend to like, but I chalked that up to being in a sealed plastic container for the ride. They did go really well with the queso though, as there was more than enough dip left over after I finished the pretzel. Overall the price is a tad bit much for the underbaked pretzel, but that singular complaint aside, this was a really good take out meal. I'd probably only come back if I were to dine in, same price for a better experience I suspect.

Stop equating large portions with good food! Casual golf clubhouse food venue. That’s says it all - convenience, not necessarily good food. The overpriced and bland Cajun Shrimp Alfredo ($27) had five bland small 26-30 sized shrimp (translation, approx 3 oz of shrimp - i checked against stuff I had at home. Owners claims these are 16-20, but go look at my photos and judge if these are as big as they say). The “spicy Alfredo” was not spicy, very creamy but very little hint of parm cheese (probably the cafe's base cream sauce that the cook forgot to add spice or parm). The sirloin steak ($30) was average. The chef’s salad ($16) was basic (why people order this at a restaurant is beyond me). The Buffalo Rangoons ($14) was not spicy and had the wrong ratio of too much fried wrapping to stuffing. The Fried Chicken Sandwich ($17) seemed decent but not close to as good as the Hattie’s Wilton version ($13) They appear short handed as we had to hail the waiter down for everything (more water, parm cheese…even more drinks). I appreciated that someone else paid otherwise it would be a one star dining experience. And to the owner: yes, I did try all the food bc we were in a group of 7 and since I post a lot of restaurant reviews, i asked to try all the food.

We came with a party of 4 at 730pm. Time is important here. We ordered drinks, for mine I was told they ran out of Amaretto, so I ordered a different cocktail. No big deal, but important to the rest of my experience. We ordered two apps, parm fries and pretzels, which were amazing! We each ordered dinner as well. I ordered the surf and turf, filet cooked medium rare. Server came back and said they are out of mashed potatoes and if I would like a different side. I chose the sweet potato fries. Server said ok but would charge $3 extra. I know thats not a lot of money, but when I HAVE to select a different side, shouldn't the extra charge be null and void? Again, it was 730pm, so I can understand that they were out of certain items by that time. Server came back again and said they were out of the filet and I would be getting the NY strip instead, then walked away before I could ask for something different. I didnt make a fuss as everything was taking forever to come out and I didnt want to hold my party or the kitchen up. But at this point I've had three substitutions, and was getting slightly frustrated. Our food finally came out and my steak was like shoe leather. It also tasted like it had been flash cooked in a microwave. The blue cheese fondue was dripping in melted butter and it had two shrimp and two under cooked scallops. I ended up not eating the meal and ate my sweet potato fries, which were really good. I could've ordered something else, but we would have been sitting there till after close at the rate everything was going. I dont expect gourmet and I've eaten at similar restaurants at golf courses and have had great experiences. But this was just a bit much. Im glad my dish and drink were taken off the bill, so thats a plus, since I only had a little bite of steak and cut into the center. We did have a gorgeous view though, as we were seated outside. The rest of my party had their own issues with their food, like undercooked potatoes as an example. My husband and I were going to come back for brunch if all went well, but unfortunately we will not be returning based on our...

We went to an event hosted here, a Taylor Swift Brunch. After seeing pictures of the food here we were excited to try it! It was a pre fixe menu with a cocktail ticket for 25.00 eacg. We anticipated a nice themed brunch out on a Sunday with a chance to order few nice drinks out together.

What was not mentioned anywhere, and what we did not find out until we were told where our table was (not seated mind you, just told a table number) and saw that our table was in fact being shared between three parties - my finace and I, 4 adult women and 4 young children.

When we approached the table, we were told by the other parties that "there was no room" for us. We went to the host but before we got there one of the families shouted to us that their daughters had moved to make room for us. The daughters had also unrolled our napkins and played with our silverware and took our drink tickets. After a brief discussion the girl turned the tickets over to us.

When our food came, what was advertised as "chicken sliders" was in fact a chicken tender on a two three-inch waffles. Perhaps the best part of brunch was the children scrolling on tik tok with their phones on full volume.

We were beyond disappointed. Had we not had to pre-pay for the event we would have left and gone elsewhere. We did not know we were signing up for the children's table for brunch. I'm sure the regular experience here is lovely, but after this I am not planning on...
