Stockton Hotel — Restaurant in Town of Stockton

I went here for dinner with my family, who is local to the area. This meal ranked in the top 5 worst meals of my life. First we made a reservation for 630 arrived on time to find no ready table. After being seated and placing our orders, 3 of our group who had ordered the prime rib special we're informed that it was sold out, understandable. The problem arises after waiting for over an hour and a half for food. No bread, not our salads, nothing. Upon frustrated inquiry about our meals the manager informed the party that everything was behind due to being understaffed and that because we had to change 3 of the orders (because they ran out of the special) that our tables order had been moved behind two other parties orders, which is totally insane . After going back and forth with the manager about if we were even going to stay for dinner, she says that our drinks were on her for the inconveniences. They were never taken off the bill. Finally we get our food, which was just ok, with the exception of the fries that looked and tasted like they had been cooked in a dirty fryer. The one star on my review is for our waitress who did her best to meet our needs. So at the end of our horrible experience in the Stockton hotel we ended up paying full price, even after nearly walking out and being told the drinks were compt, and they can keep it because it's the last dollar they will ever...

Made reservations for 7:30. We did get seated right away. Waitress comes over, takes drink order and says I'll be right back. We could have ordered our appetizer at the same time so it could have been put in, but no we waited another 10 mins. Then we ordered an appetizer and our meals. Our meals came with a salad which didn't show for about 20 mins. In the meantime friends appetizer came and ours was no where to be found. She forgot...but yet ours was the very first thing she wrote down. Mentioned to another waitress and she checked since our waitress was no where to be found either. Didn't refill drinks or anything. Food finally came. It was alright, prime rib was cooked correctly but very fatty. Friends steak was cooked correctly but also was super fatty. Food was ok...Probably won't go back for...

This was the first time we had visited Stockton Hotel. We had heard so many good things about it. Well let me tell you that they are all true! The hotel is clean, spacious, and has a pleasant friendly atmosphere. We were seated immediately, no waiting, and the service was so wonderful. The girls were very attentive to your needs throughout the course of the meal. As for the meal...it was so delicious!! We felt the prices were reasonable, and the portions filling, and made so enjoyable to eat. We were there for dinner and had the baked fish. It was melt in your mouth goodness! But if you aren't a fish person, there are so many other delicious dishes to choose from, like one of their specialty burgers. You can be sure you will enjoy a good meal and go...
