If you happen to living in, traveling through, or inexplicably lost in the beautiful charlotte valley I highly recommend you make a stop at the lovely and quaint Charlotteville general store! Mark and Dale are always courteous and professional and are really not half bad once you get to know them. The caffeinated concoctions from the new espresso maker are a delight and the drip coffee is perfectly roasted and brewed for a morning on the farm or in the woods. They also have everything you could possibly need from Swedish fish to live bait and cold beer to wash em down! This is community at its finest. A local hidden gem!! My Husband and I went to drop off our U-haul truck rental when I saw the “Hot breakfast sign” outside. We walked in the store and got greeted by Mark the owner super nice guy. Everything is clean and well put together needless to say the food was delicious. The store is packed with so many essentials like gasoline, Fire wood, Ice bags, Propane, Iced or hot coffee, You can find your basic groceries in there too. Sort of happenstance that I came across this store. I had a flat tire not to far up the road with no service. Luckily a passerby gave me a lift to the general store where the owner was kind enough to let me use their phone. He also provided me with one of the best cups a coffee I've had around the area and it turns out they sell beverages I haven't been able to find at other grocery stores.
