If you're ever in Eagle River, and looking for an unforgettable dining experience, look no further than Sorella. I had the pleasure of spending a date night with my wife there recently, and it was nothing short of exceptional.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the warm and inviting atmosphere of bar and waiting area. The friendly welcome from the bartender set the tone for an fun, yet classy evening, and the attention to detail throughout the restaurant made it clear that this was a place where quality mattered.

The real standout of the evening, though, was the host, Billy. He was hands down the best part of the night. Friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming, Billy made us feel like we were the most important guests in the room. His suggestions for wine were spot-on, and his knowledge of the menu helped guide us through a delightful meal.

For starters, we had the carpaccio—thinly sliced, melt-in-your-mouth goodness that was perfectly seasoned. It was a refreshing introduction to the meal and set the bar high for what was to come.

For my main course, I opted for the pork chop. It was cooked to perfection, with just the right balance of crispy outer crust and tender, juicy meat. Every bite was a testament to the kitchen’s skill and attention to detail. We also couldn't resist trying their homemade pasta, which was the star of the evening. You can tell when pasta is made from scratch, and this was a prime example—light, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Paired with the perfect wine (thank you, Billy), it was an experience I won’t soon forget.

It’s not often that you find such a high-quality, hand-cooked meal in a place like Eagle River, and that’s part of what made Sorella so special. The combination of attentive service, expertly crafted food, and the overall ambiance made for a night that felt both luxurious and personal. In a town where many dining experiences can feel rushed or impersonal, it was a refreshing change to enjoy a leisurely meal prepared with real care.

All in all, Sorella gave us the kind of experience you rarely come across, especially up north. If you’re looking for a memorable meal in Eagle River, this spot should absolutely be at the top of your list. Can't wait for...

This was my third time eating here The first two were positive experiences with good food And friendly service The third time was far less positive I ordered pasta for my main entrée there was considerable wait time to get my order When the pasta arrived it was lukewarm at best, extremely dry and sticky it was not edible In my opinion. I called the general manager over to the table and told him I could not eat this pasta that it was bad. He looked at me and said well have you ever had homemade pasta before I told him that I’ve had homemade pasta a few times in my life and this certainly was one of the worst ones I ever had. he did offer to replace it, but I told him no thank you because we were running out of time and if it took as long to get it as the first one, the party that I was with would be done with their meal and have to wait and I didn’t want that. He left the table and I did not hear from him again a little while later the server came over and asked if I wanted a box to take my pasta home again I said it wasn’t edible and I would not want to take it home. He left returned a little later with the bill which included a charge for my pasta I found the general managers attitude, condescending, and his response inappropriate Needless to say my wife and I will not visit this...

A New Gem That Rivals Big City Dining!

We had our first visit last night and were blown away. The food was clearly made from scratch, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. Coming from a metro area where we’re surrounded by great restaurants, we often joke that when we head to our summer spot, we leave good dining behind in exchange for bar food and fish fries. Not anymore. This restaurant could hold its own in any major city, and we feel incredibly lucky to have it here. The staff was attentive and well-trained—our server, Ashley, was outstanding. We waited about 20 minutes for a table and had to track down a host to get on the wait list. Our suggestion (or plea!) to the owners: please consider taking reservations this summer. Even if it means securing them with a credit card and a no-show fee, we’d love the chance to enjoy your restaurant again without waiting an hour or more. (because we simply won’t do it.) It’s a fantastic place—we just hope we can get in more often...

I loved the food, and really don't want to share the secret! Excellent service, fresh made pasta, the included focaccia and house Caesar salad were all wonderful. Liz service was attentive and thorough. We had the basil arancini which were as good as any I've had in Boston or S.F. and at 3 pieces were a meal in itself. The Charlie Behrens brandy old fashioned was great, and there is a good beer and wine list. About 15 tables in an intimate setting. The focaccia was light, fresh and w arm. The house Caesar salad came in a chilled bowl with generous Parmesan and garlic. The pastas are homemade and fresh. The Bolognese was superb and the ravioli light and tasty. Many other items such as chops and steaks too. We finished with a schaum torte that also was perfect.

You’ll find this charming converted house between Eagle River and Three Lakes WI. They kept some old and some new touches to the inside. Known for their homemade pasta, we all tried something different. I had the carbonara, and tasted everyone else’s. Everything was hot and tasty. My only complaint, too many up charges-we got a tiny dish of vinegar and oil-$2, we asked for more bread, we each got 1 small square of focaccia bread, up charge. Drinks were over $10. We spent $300, 5 meals, 7 drinks(1 was a mocktail), tax and tip.
