I've been here about 3 times. The first 2 times when i was younger went fine, but the 3rd time the owner made up a "special rule" just for me to remove me from playing slots, because of discriminatory beliefs based on the fact that i had a large beard. Don't go into this bar without looking like a n alcoholic blue-collar redneck christian conservative or you stand to be forcibly removed for doing no wrong, but rather something that dozens of people I've known frequently do at this establishment and nobody stops them because they don't have an unfriendly appearance or whatever total xenophobic insanity that causes the owner to remove people on sight due to extreme ignorance and an apparent lack of empathy or intelligence. I cannot in good faith support a local business that randomly tells people they have to leave for no logical or good reason, but only based on having an appearance that the bar owner did not approve of. I was told "the owner just made a brand new rule that you can't gamble here unless you're also ordering something at the bar." This is not a rule of the bar, it was pure discrimination. Funny thing is I'm Caucasian and agnostic, of NO middle eastern or Arabic descent or religious affiliation, and yet i felt like i was treated like a member of ISIS for having the wrongly-shaped beard in a disgustingly "rural" type of bar. If you think freely, this isn't the place for you. If you want to pay tons of money for terrible greasy food in an unpleasant environment surrounded by frightening alpha males, I suppose to each their own. Being forcibly removed for not looking the way the owner wanted me to was one of the most disturbingly traumatic experiences of my trauma-saturated life. I hope I'm allowed to post the review this time. People need...
Read moreHistorically this has been our go to place for dinner & drinks, but the service has really gone downhill in the past couple of years & given a choice, I'd rather go almost anywhere else or even cook at home honestly. This past weekend's dining out experience at The Bluff's was probably the absolute worst I've had to date. There was an event taking place in the reception hall. The ladies manning that were running their @$$es off, but the waitress tending bar & waiting tables in the main area was doing her best to look busy. She finally took our order after nearly 25 minutes, all the while she gave us the stink eye, no doubt hoping that we'd get tired of waiting & leave as I had (not so quietly) suggested to my family that we should do. She took our food & drink order & then forgot to get the drinks altogether. We had to ask for the drinks & when we did, she simply laughed it off. Our table was the only table occupied while we were there. There were a few patrons straggling in & out of the reception area to the bar & it was not at all like she was slammed. It seemed like she wanted to be anywhere else but ther that night. The most personality I observed her exude was when she was entertaining men from the reception taking place in the next room. When we went to pay our bill she completely messed that up & tried to give my fiance an extra $100 or so back. He was honest & showed her the mistake. In the future we will check to see who is working before we...
Read moreWe called in to place an order for pickup and the customer service was fantastic! That is why I am giving this 5 stars. She said the website is pretty obsolete right now, but we were able to order most things on the menu listed. The Bluffs burger was amazing, the boneless chicken nuggets are the real deal, the Jalapeño burger was phenomenal (so says my husband) and the taco salad was decent. My favorite part of the entire meal was their Fried Pickles! WOW! We will definitely order...
