If you haven't been to Waller's on the Lake, you're missing out, Foodie Family! We were there for the first time last night and they did an amazing job from the moment we walked in the door. We were greeted immediately by our friend Beth Rose and offered a drink from the bar, and if we wanted, we could take a relaxing history tour on the pontoon around the lake. YES, we certainly did! I highly encourage you to take the boat ride because it was both relaxing and extremely interesting—Captain Maxim Zernia really knows this lake's history. For dinner, we decided to try a range of options from starters that could have been considered dessert to some interesting new options we haven't had before! Everything was really delicious and we had no complaints at our table. My favorite item was for sure the Wisconsin Donuts! A Wisconsin cheese curd with a light and crispy funnel cake breading, served with house-made raspberry sauce. Absolutely delicious—you could start and finish a meal with an order of these treats. The Beet Salad was also a table pleaser, and Jake's PB Poppers were a hit. I had the Blackened Shrimp Bowl and Anne ordered the Pan Roasted Chicken. Our friends went with the Honey Bourbon BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger and Cheesy Truffle Orecchiette. As I mentioned, we were a happy group because everything was delicious. Save room for their made-in-house dessert specials as well. We will be back for more soon! They have their official grand opening this Saturday starting at 4 PM, so why not head over and check them out? Even though they are already open, we think a celebration is in order! Join them on August 3rd for some great food and drinks, plus lots of giveaways. They will be giving away over $300 in gift cards, have some new merch for you to take home, and have some great specials for you to enjoy. Reservations are welcome, or just stop by and enjoy the party. Weather permitting, there will be pontoon boat rides and a fire with S'mores available.

This was our first trip to WLSC and it was ahhhhhhmazing. First, the salad bar. It exceeded our expectations. We have never been to a supper club with a salad bar, just a relish tray and it was so good. A large variety of salads, including egg salad and macaroni and crab salad. And the hype over the hot bacon dressing is 100% true. Hubs got the baked french onion and I had the crabby cream of mushroom and it was delicious. I had a classic perfectly made Brandy old fashioned and the blue gill special while the hubs had a bourbon old fashioned and the prime rib. Hee ordered a loaded baked potato and Deanna, our server let him know that he could dress it up at the hot bar and his eyes lite up like a kid on Christmas morning. They serve prime rib EVERY DAY !!! That's amazing. We finished off the meal with a shared brandy Alexander and a Schaum Torte that hit the spot !! The atmosphere of the supper club was very cozy. Everything about the place was warm and inviting. We had two old fashioneds, one beer, bluegill special and prime rib that came with potato & salad bar. We added a cup of soup and a cup of baked french onion along with one ice cream cocktail and one dessert for $115. I unfortunately kept bringing up the prices in disbelief to the server because they were unreasonable. However it took me a moment to state that I was shocked at how affordable it was. I know working in Chicago means that I am used to high prices, especially with the labor shortage and increasing food costs. I was just shocked with the quality and value of our meal. The new owners are doing things right ! I can't wait to find my way back here. Wednesday December 14th, 630pm

This was legitimately one of the most pleasant dining experiences we have ever had. We are not local, so the concept of Supper Club is a foreign concept for us. But I would imagine if you looked up Supper Club in the dictionary, Wallace Lake would be photoset. Beautiful building with a perfect view of the lake. Interior is classy and well thought out. The lighting is beautiful Starburst chandeliers. Our waitress Rosie was so kind and accepting. Telling us all about the culture of Supper clubs and recommending great drinks and appetizers. My wife ordered the prime rib, and I had the aged Ribeye special. For appetizers, we had the wonton mozzarella sticks, which were incredible. I tried my first sour old fashion ( with their homegrown mushrooms and olives, asparagus, and Brussel sprout). It was perfect and one of the best drinks I've ever had. The meat was prepared perfectly. Sides were good, salad bar had great variety. Soup was ok. We finished the meal with their Schaum Tarte. Absolutely scrumptious! The experience was worth every penny, and we will be sure to visit again in our 8-week stay in Wisconsin. If you are close, make the trip. But call ahead and assure they have room for you. We did come the day before and ended up making a reservation for the next day.

We stopped at a different supper club and they informed us they were out of steak. My husband was set on steak for the night so we left and came to Wallace Supper Club. We are sure glad we did! Waiting outside as we exited our vehicle, the polite gentleman who opened the door asked us if we had a reservation. They had just opened, on a Sunday (Packers were on,) and we were nervous when the hostess also asked us if we had a reservation. We said we hadn't and told us to have a seat at the bar. There were only a few groups seated and we were getting concerned as we ordered our drinks if they'd be able to seat us at all. The worry was for nothing because, as soon as the drink came to us, we were seated at a nice table with a view of the lake. The martini was made perfect and the wine selection good. Our server was informative, quick, and very friendly. My husband ordered the beef wellington and he claims it's better than the one he had at Gordon Ramsey's restaurant. I ordered the pesto crusted salmon, which was also cooked to perfection along with Irish potatoes. Finally, we ended our meal sharing a mudslide. Delicious again. We will be returning! This is a perfect example of an nicely updated, affordably priced, well-staffed, quality Wisconsin Supper Club.

Start with the positives. Excellent service - especially Rosie our server. The place is clean, well maintained and has an enjoyable view. The salad bar had a nice selection of traditional salad toppings with 3 types of greens. They have hot bacon dressing and their house dressing is tasty. The salads are homemade. We especially enjoyed the pasta crab salad. The bread is crusty on the outside and perfect on the inside. My niece started with the baked French onion soup and had the beef wellington with garlic mashed potatoes as her main course. She said all was good except there were some larger chunks of black peppercorns that sometimes overwhelmed the flavor. It's Saturday night so of course I ordered the prime rib medium rare and was delighted to be able to substitute asparagus with hollandaise sauce for the potato. The asparagus was crisp tender. Very good. However the prime rib while perfectly cooked was extremely tough. I pointed it out to Rosie. I declined her offer to get me something else as I didn't want to hold my niece. (We drove 1-1/2 hours to try this place out.) They were out of schaum torte but yhe creme Brule was excellent.

We had our holiday company dinner here and they made the planning portion a breeze. They were extremely accommodating and allowed us to use the fire pits to roast s’mores after our delectable dinner. Mother Nature was not on our side so we opted to pass. I had the beer cheese Orichette with shrimp. It had 6 colossal shrimp and it was ooy gooey cheesy noodle goodness. Shrimp were tender and perfectly cooked. Others had the Prime rib and the flavor was simply perfection . Mushroom Bacon Pappadrelle’s Smoky hearty flavor was comforting . I have read that other diners complain about no salad bar anymore ….C’mon we had a house salad that came with my entree and it was abundant, fresh and who needs more than that these days ? Personally I feel salad bars are antiquated and are communal bacteria sesspools . Yuk. Dessert for this girl ended up being a Grasshopper. It had the perfect balance of mint and chocolate. Service was efficient and gracious, I can tell these servers know how to do their job and do it right. Thank You. After dinner I purchased their $100 gift certificate $20 bonus holiday dealio. I can’t wait to go back and try the walleye.
