Came to this Bread Alone location for the first time today with 2 other family members. We were greeted right away by the workers at this location and they promptly took our order. I ordered the breakfast burrito, my father ordered the spicy tempeh, and my mother ordered the tomato soup. Unfortunately when my father took a bite into his spicy tempeh sandwich, there was some kind of weird plastic thing in it. Right away, we took the sandwich in to let the workers know and without even asking they refunded the money for that sandwich, made a new one right away, and they gave us free pastries on the house, which were to die for! They were extremely polite and apologetic and this was the best customer service I have ever experienced while eating in the Hudson Valley. Along with all of this, the breakfast burrito & the tomato soup were insanely good. Also I should add that we got a bottle of water & a strawberry lemonade. The total price for everything was $41 before the refund, which is still insanely cheap for gourmet food that tasted amazing. But really in the end it was the service at this Bread Alone location that stood out the most. My family and I will definitely be coming back.

Read moreThis is to all who shop at bread Alone or buy bread Alone product:
Bread Alone brags that they are a company that offers an “exciting and pleasant work environment, sustainable work-life balance, and opportunity for growth”. That is a horrendous lie. I personally witnessed the mistreatment and abuse of employees.
Management would scream and curse at employees while threatening to take away legally secured breaks, talk about employees badly in front of others and also throw product at employees annoying them. They made excuses about giving more hours when in reality they’re trying to cut back to give themselves more bonuses and raises. They also purposely hire people like ex-convicts and parolees so they can treat and abuse them because they have not many other employment options that pay above minimum wage.
This is all in addition to the lack of quality of their product; including dropping bread on the floor and management telling workers to just pick it up and put it out...
Read moreI first discovered Bread Alone Bakery in 2016 and have loved it ever since. I am lucky enough to have local markets like Cornucopia in Sayville, NY and Citarella in The Hamptons stock your fresh product. Over the weekend, I made two visits to Bread Alone in Kingston. The first time we ordered the Breakfast Burrito and the BLT. AMAZING. I also grabbed a loaf of bread - delicious. On our way back home to Long Island, we stopped off (this time with my parents, too) to bring more fresh goodies home. De'Vante (I hope I'm spelling that right) was so kind and helpful. He was so patient, knew what was in the products and gave excellent customer service.I hope you let him know how awesome he is! I've been in the hospitality industry for 20 years and I will say your staff is one of a kind. We brought home olive ciabatta, loaf of multi-grain, a loaf of fruit and nut bread, croissant, currant scone, and more. We will continue to stop in when we're Upstate and buy your products any...
