Big Top Ice Cream — Restaurant in Town of Unadilla

Typing this as my mother and I are driving away! Big Top doesn't have any tops or covers for any ice cream! Told the young lady as we were placing order that we need tops on everything. When she began handing us our completed orders, everything was to the brim and no covers. We reminded her again we needed covers. Her response was "if I put anything on top the ice cream will go all over". Well that is why we told you at the beginning we needed covers. After 2 or 3 minutes she came out with covers,... that didn't fit that were too big. So we asked her again for a cover and her response was "well what do you want". We simply told her something with a cover that fits. After another 2 or 3 minutes we finally received what we ordered. And we told them directly that you lost a customer. Her simple response was "I'm sorry". From now on, we'll drive a little bit further to Otego for Sprinkles and Cream, and be able to drive home without anything...

I know it's off season but I owe this place a review. There's hard and soft ice cream options, with plenty of flavors to select from. My favorite is maple walnut (hard) and my wife's fav is the blueberry cheesecake (soft). Also, the size to price ratio is unbeatable within a 30 minute drive circumference. There's also food (fast food type like burgers, hotdogs and fried) around the other exposed size of the building, which I've had and taste great. Service has always been super helpful and with a smile. Although I'm a local, I sometimes feel like I get weird looks from other locals waiting in line but this will not stop me from getting good ice cream. My family and I had Lunch and Ice Cream here. We enjoyed ourselves. The icecream we got was out of the world and the portions were great, my only regret is we didn't come back a 2nd time while on vacation. For lunch My kids had subs, I had a grilled cheese and ham and my wife had a burger, the food was good, nothing to write home about, the grill was not on when we ordered so it took a little longer to get our food than I would have liked but overall the food was good.
