I’m extremely disappointed with the horrible service we received at Creekside inn this weekend. We called ahead and I was told reservation is recommended . We made one for 415. We were told they have another party of 5 at 430. We get there and are told to wait which is fine even though it wasn’t busy. Finally after waiting 10 mins to be seated we simply ask if our table is ready (as it’s my bday weekend and we have plans). They tell us table is ready and we are met by the rudest waiter Kristen I have ever encountered by far in my life. She didn’t give name we had to ask another worker mind you. We are given one small plate of bread for 5 people which is fine but then a nicer blonde server asks us if we wanted more as of course it was gone instantly . Then she never returned. After 15 mins waiting with the blonde and our waiter avoiding eye contact and going to every single table but ours multiple times I had to get up and ask for more bread. It comes out and the wait continues.. finally by 511 pm I ask Kristen if she knew how much longer it would be and she rudely responds “it’s made per order and it’s not like we have fries made on the side” (which obviously every restaurant makes orders per order) and I ask so we don’t know .. and she says soon and storms off with attitude. I’m not sure what we did to piss her off and treat us so poorly but this isn’t the service I’m used to at Creekside. It was so bad to the point I will never spend another penny at the place. And it’s a shame because that’s opposite of what I’m used to from this place. I used to rave how great it is. But from start to finish this was just such a horrible experience I’m actually shocked. . And I never review but it was this bad it needed to be addressed. It’s 520 and our food arrived. An hour for hard noodles in my chicken riggies. Never again. We leave and no have a nice day, not once did she say I’m sorry for the wait anything. We are completely understanding when a place is busy waiting isn’t the problem things happen even though we have plans.. it’s the service and friendliness that matters. Save your money and avoid such a rude crowd! I at least saved my $60 by canceling my wine order. I wanted to just walk out it was so...
Read moreCreekside Inn appeared to be something special based on other reviews and photos, but nothing could have prepared us for how charming and well run this inn and property are. We managed to find the door for inn guests, where access is controlled by a code, and servers quickly ushered us to the check-in desk. We delighted in receiving a retro actual key, and the presence of web-enabled cameras throughout the property put my wife at ease.
We stayed in the "Moon" room, and the decor was incredible, although arguably our style already. The thoughtful touches on moon-themed art and room colors gave the room a fun, relaxed feel. The TV was a truly modern amenity with live television offered through streaming services, but with most modern platforms allowing you to log in with a QR code, we had all the comforts of our own YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, and similar accounts. The room was spacious, but cozy, with all the other amenities we would have expected along with plenty of A/C, overhead fan, nice hot shower, etc. Our only quibble would be the massive amount of light the skylight in the Moon room allows in; a pole-shade like the one we have for our own skylights at home is our suggestion to Inn keeper.
We were planning to eat at the casino, but were so pleased with the room, we opted for the Inn's restaurant instead; if this is a deliberate marketing strategy, it worked a treat. I have a wheat allergy, my wife a sesame allergy, and the waiter was delighted to accommodate us. A meatball flight appetizer was exceptional, but the gluten-free pasta shells with blue-cheese sauce and scallops was one of the best dishes I've ever had, and not an easy flavor profile to lock-down, but this kitchen pulled it off, and it's a dish I will always remember. Wife was delighted with her food as well. Very excited for future offerings.
Only 2 miles away from Turning Stone Casino, staying at Creekside also got us to visit charming Oneida, where we are able to spend winnings on now much-beloved antiques from the local shop, Old & Odd, as well as local coffee shop. Creekside was the anchor for a truly one-of-a-kind experience, and will be our #1 go-to for any future trips to Turning Stone. Can't recommend...
Read moreOne of the worst service dining experiences. Myself and 9 friends (6 who are local) went to Creekside for New Year’s Eve and were very disappointed. It was a prefixed menu that the staff clearly had no grasp on. The waitstaff was rude and not attentive. Our waitress and the bartender seemed more interested in each other and taking selfies then to attending to paying customers. Our two first courses came out back to back then we waited over an hour for the 3rd course. The champagne that was supposed to be including in the meal, never came. Instead of adjusting the bill accordingly we were handed drink tickets (after the bill was already paid) which is not useful, at all, to those of us that are from out of town. We were basically ignored and forgotten about for large stretches of time. After our first drinks, the waitress never returned to see if we wanted additional drinks. When we flagged someone down for water for the table, he filled one water glass and walked away. Without water on the table or any other drinks, a member of our party went up to the bar to order drinks. The bar tender was extremely off-put, rude and upset that he “interrupted” her conversation with a fellow employee. After he ordered the drinks the waitress still did not return to the table for a long period of time. The 8 filets that were ordered, came out wrong temperatures - the waitress never came to the table to ask how the main course was. What was supposed to be an enjoyable evening turned into 3 hours of frustration with a wait staff that was disorganized and down right rude. The service was beyond disappointing for an expensive bill, with the amount of gratuity that was predetermined. All 10 of us will be sharing this experience with our family...
