We just got back from a delightful lunch and had to jump into a review! We’re staying at a local Air B&B and Brew Haus was in walking distance. It’s a snowy Saturday in March, so the restaurant was quiet. The hostess/bartender, Erin, warmly greeted us, and told us we could sit anywhere we wanted. We had the dining room to ourselves and chose one of the round tables in the corner. The outside of the building in no way prepares you for the rustic, but charming atmosphere inside. The fireplace was going, there are what appear to be hand painted murals on the wall and we were given the choice of sports events to watch on the large tv above the fireplace. There is an extensive draft beverage menu that offers flights, which my group enthusiastically chose from with some guidance and recommendations from Erin. No one was disappointed. Next came appetizers. We started with the Haus salsa (so good we got some to take back with us) and the soft pretzels (also good). For lunch we went with burgers, the grilled chicken (exceptional), pulled pork (one of the best I’ve had) with Mac and Cheese, and the shaved steak (scrumptious ). Between the service and the food and drinks, we had a truly enjoyable meal. Don’t miss this gem if you’re in the area! A bonus is that one of our group has Celiac’s and is gluten free. Not only was Erin knowledgeable about gf, but many of the menu items were gluten...
Read moreCame to this area for a family getaway and start to get a bite to eat at the full house, which was nice when we first walked in, but the place seemed very dim and dry and cold, but the waitress greeted us and lead us to the tables right away. she’s very nice and sweet, but when I came to order and drinks or entrées and appetizers, the co-owner was very short and blunt and rude. I did not have pictures of the food because it was not worth it at all .Had a baby and a group that received cold food and when ask if they could warm up the food that request was ignored so the baby and the group became very upset and was whiny and the co-owner did not care and the whole dining area where we were sitting a circus, so you would like to go here go here and get a beer and a pretzel and that’s it. Do not get anything else because the food is either half cold have season have sauce or not cooked at all seem to be broiled or microwaved air fryer convection oven nothing was really grilled or smoked at all. The chicken wings tasted burnt and chard, and the nachos was not cheesy. The mac & cheese taste like cheese with noodles. It was just a lot that I did not want to go into detail with the, please visit this place...
Read moreAugust 2021: 32 beers on tap can't be all bad, and it isn't. Found a couple of worthy IPAs. Decent location with parking. Nice (small) view of the lake. May want lawn chairs but outside tables are available. Inside is kinda small with some COVID-19 restrictions (not the fault of the establishment). Went on a Sunday to have a quick brew and check the place out. Worth going back to. Only reason rating is not higher is what we believe is always a poor business decision. There was a band outside. The establishment decided to send people around trying to get $5 from anybody who had wandered over to listen to the band. It was called Saranac Sundays. This is always a poor business decision. If people just want to sit down and have a beer or two they shouldn't have to pay a cover charge just because the establishment decided to have music. Pay your entertainment. Collect your money from the sales of your goods. And keep your customers happy and coming back. Therefore, no more no more...
