We went on Mother’s Day as a family, food was fine except for a spaghetti dish which was $12, it was a small dish with NO sides at all, and it was not great to say the least. Not just that but hear this, I asked for a fountain drink, it turned out to be just seltzer that looked like coke, I told them and they said they just ran out of syrup to refill it, so they asked if I would like a can, I said ok. Don’t forget, refills are free! So when I got up and grabbed another can of coke for myself and for my grandfather I assumed it was free because drinks are free refills and they ran out of syrups for the fountain machine. They watched us and waited, right before we left the Spanish kid said wait, you didn’t pay for those two cans of coke, I was ready to argue and explain that it’s their fault that they ran out of fountain soda but my mother did not want to do that since it’s her day, so I let it go. But me and my entire family of 6 agreed that they were in the wrong. TO BE FAIR, the food was decent, and the service was “nice” but overall, none of us will be back. I’m not telling you to not go there, but they are taking advantage of the fact that restaurants are scarce in the area and are ripping people off. Go for the place if you want, but you might just agree with me. This is a completely...
Read moreGoogle says this place is in the $10-$20 range. This is misleading. My wife and I had a total of 3 cocktails, an order of fish tacos, a burrito and one more to go, and 2 small salads. The total was $140 without the tip. The food and drinks are good, but they do not give you nearly enough sour cream and salsa for your burrito and tacos and you get a very small container of dressing for your salad. So you ask for more and they bring you more 2 oz. containers of salsa, sour cream or salad dressing, but they don't tell you that they are charge you for each little container so when you get your check, there are all these additional charges for the stuff that other decent restaurants give you without charge. It only amounted to an extra 10 bucks on the check, but when your paying $20 for a burrito and $10-$13 for drinks, you don't expect that kind of penny ante nonsense. I think the place is generally good but just realize that despite the lack of ambiance and atmosphere, you're still paying the prices of a fancier restaurant. I hope the owner succeeds as the food is generally good, but I urge him/her to rethink...
Read moreBest random spot I've stopped at!! I was a little iffy about the prices compared to some other close options when I checked the menu online. But let me tell you I would willingly spend the money on this place any day. ANY DAY! My fiance and I are from NJ originally essex county ( semi close to newark airport) and since moving to sussex county (nj county right below pine island) there are very VERY few places that have food I would rate 5 stars. I'm white as white can be but it's like you cross into the sussex county border and seasoning goes out the window lol. Every single thing we had here today was SO GOOD!! My tamale wasn't Sahara desert dry, my pasta vodka and meatballs delicious, the salsa was not out of a jar, and the tacos were excellent as well. Surprisingly I can't find a single place that makes actually good french onion. The soup here was so on point I wished I had an extra stomach to have more haha. Our server was super nice. I'm literally writing this review at the table cause I want to make sure I post this before I forget because I enjoyed...
