They should stop marketing this place as a polish butcher deli - it doesn't doesn't smell like a polish butcher store and has a very few polish products; what's left of it is a Polish eagle at the front. Today was my first visit and the display case had just a few items (I was told I came at the wrong time; fair enough). To be honest, their fare looked old and tired; the staff wasn't going to do anything above the bare minimum (the salesman never offered a sample to taste and the lady at the cash registrar was either uniformed or didn't give a *). I bought a few items and inquired if they freeze their product and was told that they do because they do not use any preservatives. Kudos for that! but I hoped to buy fresh product from the butcher so there goes my dream, heh. Anyway, the stuff we bought is far far faaaar removed from tastes of the polish kielbasa, ham, kiszka and other specialties I came to buy. The current owners cater to the standard American taste. OK, that wouldn't be a negative per se but the food we sampled is simply nothing to rave about -- tough casings, bland interior (that includes the spicy sausage which was spicy but with nothing else going on; and boy that little thing called Kabanosy should have so many layers and complex flavors inside; well, it didn't; it wasn't even properly smoked and where's that garlic you promised?). Nothing had the aroma or taste of smoked sausage one buys at the polish butcher. Not to mention that staff working there is stone cold and doesn't even remotely try to pretend otherwise. So, yeah ... I am...

The meats & pierogi are the stars in this off the beaten path market, smack dab in the famous black dirt farming region of the Hudson Valley. Home made cabanassi sausage (my personal garlicky favorite) both mild and spicy, all manner of delish gourmet House made sausages and wursts — including delish Italian sausage — hand cut meats to order as well as house made cold cuts, pierogi and salads. You can also have them cook certain meats and specialties to order.
This store is always busy with locals and visitors to the area alike. The meats are all reasonably priced and so flavorful, you hardly need more than salt and pepper.
They do have an online offering menu, but there is a lot more unlisted. I generally give them a call the day before or a few hours before I intend to stop by (usually once a week), as their meats are hand cut to order that way I don’t have to wait around, I just grab and go.
QC is also a deli and mini market, so you can grab kraut, noodles, a sandwich or what have you here as well. A family establishment with great products, down home service and a lovely drive. Out of the way for some, but totally...
