We go here for the pizza about 15 times May-Sept. for last four years. Usually spend $40.00 per visit. It’s hit and miss on how it's baked. A hand full of times it’s baked perfect. Other times the edges are burned black and the bottom of the crust is very dark..closed to burned. We were there on 8-20-23 and the edges were burned black and the crust bottom was very, very dark. Complained to the server/ bartender Krista Dino. She gave me some lip about there is nothing wrong with the way it’s done and walked away. Bar owner Dan Sr was sitting at a table working on his tablet and could hear my complaint but ignored us. As we were leaving I stopped by a customer who was sitting at the bar and stated nice that your pizza was not visibly burned. Krista appeared and stated “I’m going to ask you to leave”. We got pizza at Buckshots Downtown on 8-20-23 and it was perfect. No longer returning to Buckshots Saloon & Eatery. I love the owners reply to my review. The bartender (Krista) lied to the owner Dan. I saw in another review where Dan Sr shot his mouth off about another bad review. To clarify and as I stated. I stopped by the customer who was having pizza at the bar and made my statement AT NO TIME DID I TOUCH HIS PIZZA, but I guess it makes a better story to the owner. If the ovens are the same why is it not burned downtown. I think who is ever baking it is not watching close enough. No problem in not patronizing his business considering it’s way out of the way...
Read moreThis was not our first visit and the food and service has always been very good. Last nite, the waitress treated us just awful. She never offered us any drinks. In fact we had to order them when we ordered our food. We had 2 different pizzas and both had burned crusts. After the food was delivered the waitress never came to our table again….never came to refill our drinks or ask how our food was. She came by when we were ready to leave, dropped our bill off, and left. She came by the other tables near us but did not stop back for the bill payment. We could have easily left without paying. Our out of state guest finally went to the bar to pay the bill. The waitress caught up with him there. Our guest wondered why we would ever eat at such a place. The waitress should be glad she even got a tip. We all felt like we weren’t welcome at this establishment. Lastly, the ductwork over our table dripped condensation on 2 of the individuals seated directly under the drips. We felt if we said anything about the burned pizzas, lack of service, or dripping water, we would be asked to leave. Everyone can have an off nite while working but this was beyond understanding. Not sure if we will bring guests here...
Read moreWe always like to give places three tries before making it a 'go to' spot. The first time Buckshots was crazy busy and understandably it took forever to get served. The second time wasn't as busy but still took a fair amount of time. The third time only half of the tables were full. We saw one waitress, one bartender, and three people in the kitchen and it still took 1hr 15mins to get our meal. The food tastes great but they really need to work on service. It shouldn't take that long for 3 burgers and a bowl of soup. Our 5yr olds 'vegetable beef' soup tasted like chili so we showed the waitress. She stirred it up and said don't you see the corn it's not chili ? She did remove it from our bill but didn't offer to switch it out for another soup. I ended up splitting my burger and fries with my daughter so she wouldn't be hungry or wait another hour for food. Won't be eating here again unless we have...
