Border City Cone N Grill — Restaurant in Town of Waterloo

The girl that was working had no customer service skills and was honestly difficult to deal with. She got our order wrong and ignored me when I said she put the wrong sprinkles on one of the cones. We also ordered a FlavorBlast cone that was basically liquid and would not hold shape. I said I didn't want melted ice cream and asked for something else. She replied that the machine is running "softer than usual," threw the cone in a bowl and handed me the melted ice cream soupy mess then walked away. I was shocked that she wouldnt disclose the issue with the machine when ordering and that she wouldnt offer a replacement/alternative. I recommend going anywhere...

We stopped in this past weekend and what an experience. Our 6 dollar baby cone had a small fly mixed in with the sprinkles. I said something while we were still at the window and the lady serving us got all upset like it was our fault.

So meanwhile while sitting out front eating the other couple was complaining about the food and prices too. The owner (wife) apparently has a severe gambling problem and loves cheating on her husband who owns both businesses on each side of the ice cream stand and that's why she's miserable and the prices are outrageous.

Avoid this place. Not worth...

Based on all the great reviews we tried this out for dinner one night passing through town. Dinner was OK, typical fried fare, nothing to write home about for sure. We tried to get ice cream afterward, but even with at least 2 employees working nobody came to either walk up window to take our order. I gave up after standing there for 10 minutes and seeing an employee look straight at me two different times but not even address me after. They lost my business and my family's $40 ice cream...
