Great place! Totally recommend it all the way around. I played in a po tournament and felt like home. Incredible food and drinks. Bartenders are a kick and I go there as often as I'm in the area.

Love the Waumandee Haus. One of the popular things is the Wednesday night all you can eat broasted chicken. It's every other Wednesday. All the fixings. Great drinks. Very friendly.

I actually hesitated to write a review because I want to keep this great secret place to myself. I've stayed here several times, and have always walked away happy. The "resort" is made up of 6 cabins, 2 rooms and a bunkhouse. They tell me there is a couple of hook-ups for a camper, but I've yet to find them. All of this is in the back parking lot of the Waumandee House restaurant and bar. This, as well as a bank, a church, a small store, and some other scattered buildings/businesses make up the tiny farming town of Waumandee. ||||We've stayed exclusively in the cabins. They are newer construction, very clean, and well built. This last fact is important, as cabins this close together built differently would most likely leave you listening to outside noises at night. These cabins are quiet. Each cabin has two queen beds, and each cabin has a different decor theme. There are no fridges or microwaves. This is not a cabin in the sense you can "live" in it during your stay. The amenities are similar to a hotel room. ||||Outside there is a fire pit for a campfire, and many nights we've spent time at the fire meeting our cabin neighbors. There is great food a few steps away at the bar/restaurant. There is a playground as well. Not sure if it belongs to the resort or the church next door, but it's a nice little playground for the kids.||||If I could change one thing about this place, I would change the outdoor furniture. Each cabin/room has a patio area. I would really appreciate more than the scattered chairs around the place. A table and a couple of chairs at each cabin would go a long way. ||||The staff at the Waumandee House are excellent. We've had many great meals, fun nights, and excellent service at this small town establishment. The owner is very friendly and always willing to go the extra mile for guests. We stumbled in on karaoke night once, and he even sang us a tune. ||||Surrounding the resort is an endless playground of motorcycling roads, making this an excellent home base for a weekend riding trip. This is exactly how we accidently found this place the first time we stayed, and it's now become at least a yearly stop on our...

I wanted to stay here at this "resort" with my son because it was in the country with practically nothing around, which is what I need sometimes. However, the owner was rather obnoxious/narcissistic and did NOT make us feel welcomed at all whatsoever. I told the female bartender I found some hairs and straw/grass from outside on the sheets. She asked me if I'd like them changed and I said yes. Instead of having them changed, that's when the owner came out to talk to me instead. He kept asking me what I found on the sheets over and over again. He kept gaslighting and treating me like I'm used to luxury hotels. Roughly four years ago...I moved to TN with literally nothing but the clothes on my back, the 2003 Kia Sorento I had at the time, and what little money I had saved up. I set up camp, got a job as a cashier, and eventually rented a place in the country. With that said, I don't need luxury. The only expectation I have from anyone is respect and the owner most certainly didn't meet this expectation. Had he been respectful and welcoming, my son and I would be staying at this "resort" instead of at the Draft Horse Inn. I do not recommend Buffalo County Resort to anyone that isn't into the bar scene. I strongly recommend the Draft Horse Inn instead. The lady here at the Draft Horse Inn is much more welcoming and the sheets...

What an awesome place! I am having the time of my life. Small town beautiful cabin with its charm. Great outdoors activities, it is a family own business passed on from one generation to the next. It is charmed next to the restaurant. If you want a quiet place to rest and enjoy to slow down than you should come here. I love it far enough from the madness of the cities but close enough to go back if you missed it. The cabins are beautiful and the people are super nice. I had the privilege to meet the mother of the new owner and she was delightful. I highly recommend this gem!! Worth the trip!!! Will be...
