We heard about this place through coworkers and decided to give it a try. Through recommendation, we ordered the famous chimichanga and it was a disappointment as well as the service. I did not sense any sort of "mexican" flavor from this burrito at all. I poured salsa over it to have it not taste so bland. Service wise, upon walking in, a waitress approached us, then looks around the main seating area, which there was plenty, and then goes to a doorway and has another waitress seat us. Even though there was only 4 of us, the main room had plenty of seating area, but we were still seated in a secluded area off the main floor which was uncomfortable and very claustrophobic. We waited over 30minutes for our food, and had I not had my salad brought out to me first, we would have all left. We were afraid that being seated in this hallway of rooms with no other customers around, that we would easily be forgotten, and it sure felt that way. Once walking out, we had to walk through the main seating area and clearly there were new customers, even a group of 4 but yet not a single person was seated where we were. I'm not one to complain but this experience was not impressive and we won't be...
Read moreI wish Google would allow 1/2 star ratings, then this would be a 4.5 star review. Let me start out by saying there is nothing to complain about at Chico's. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was good and huge servings. I dropped 1/2 star because I am comparing the food to other Mexican restaurants. Although the food at Chico's is good, there are a couple places that I prefer in town. It wouldn't be fair to those places if I gave everyone 5 stars. We started out with Margaritas 🍹 at the bar. Everyone starts at the bar and waits for your food to be prepared and delivered to your table before they come get you to be seated. Oddly, I like this approach. You can socialize with fellow patrons and not feel.like you are disturbing other guests while they eat. I wanted to try something different so I had the Mexican Combo Plate. Beef burrito, 2 enchiladas and a taco, all served with beans and rice. It was huge and way more than this guy can eat. Christi, and our friends, all had Chico's signature dish, Chimichangas. Their Chimichanga's are always good. We will be back, as this is just a fun place to go for good...
Read moreIf there was a ZERO STAR rating, this is what I would give this place. Went there for dinner, with people that moved out of state and were back for a visit, WOW were we disgusted. This has got to be the worst food I have every been served. Since when is Queso dip yellow?? Homemade chips, no way, they were clearly store bought, with about 6 (possibly homemade) chips hid in the bottom. I had ordered a Chicken Chimichanga with redries bean and spanish rice and this is what I got served; A flour tortilla stuffed full of a yellow cheese and completely tasteless chicken (was supposed to have green chilis in it and there were none) deep fried was past done, sourcream over the top of it, then covered with more yellow cheese then broiled, a few pieces of lettuce on top, 2 black olives and a banana pepper. spanish rice (more like a can of tomatoes and about 8 grain of rice in it), refried beans (whole beans right out a can and no seasoning at all) Enough grease on the plate that everything was soaking in it. It was not edible. We all ledt without...
