I wish could give a thumbs down. I have been there several times now and fir a place that is suppose to be a top place to go don't waste your money or time. You can get a better burger, appetizers at any family restaurant for much less. Anytime they have a special they run out of food. Horrible hostess and staff in general. Number one thing in restaurant service is customer service, they don't know what is going on at all, outgoing to those they know and not as outgoing to others. No kind of sitting for someone elderly or disabled, definitely not a place to go if handicap or bad back or legs. Stairs to go upstairs to eat and horrible stairs to go down to eat because servers will go on steps at same time as you. Long wait time but if your someone they know you will get seated right away. First of all this last visit Friday fish fry and by 615 already out of two fish and big thing on their nightly specials, not even telling anyone after hostess told still handling out special paper with main menu. People sitting then when comes to ordering they don't have this, that and it's the special. Attitude of opps that you weren't told when waited over an hour yet told no more than 45 minutes and forgot about you putting others before you. Others may recommend but in all honesty. They run out every Friday on fishfry days and rib and lobster days and the lobster is definitely not...
Read moreWent here for lunch with the family. Loved it as soon as we walked in. All the staff were so kind and wonderful. The cod fish fry was tasty (there's some spices/herbs in the breading that really put it over the top!) and very meaty pieces! Amazing! Also, I tried some of my bf's prime rib sandwich, which is really a GIANT juicy, tender, flavorful steak that they serve on a bun (served with a side of au jous)... let me tell ya, I've been daydreaming about that prime rib ever since!!! It's THAT good!!! I can't wait to go back and get one for myself! Even if the food wasn't so great, I would still be looking forward to going back to Jug's! The drinks were strong, and the service is top-notch!! I feel terrible that I can't remember our server's name because she was the best! We were a party of 6, and we never had to ask her for ANYTHING! She always had an eye on our drinks and offered refills; she brought utensils, extra napkins, condiments, boxes, and the bill, all exactly when needed. She was so sweet and kind, while also professional and quick. I could go on and on about the beautiful decor, the history, the atmosphere, the outdoor seating, and more, but I've shared enough. If you go to Jug's, you will not be disappointed!!! I'm definitely going to be going here a lot more (can't wait for that prime rib sandwich). I wish I knew about this place years ago when I moved...
Read moreWe had our wedding here at Jug’s this past June and I am so glad we chose them!
We had our ceremony in there open “backyard” area, and a tent outside for dinner(because all of it guests wouldn’t have been able to fit in the upstairs hall area) and then had the dance/reception in the reception area.
There were so many good things about Jug’s!! Jason seriously worked his butt off trying to get everything right that day, and it paid off! The employees did a really great, attentive job as well with dinner and our appetizers and nacho bar. Our wedding meal was so AWESOME and DELICIOUS! I literally cannot even tell you how many compliments from guests we got on our food! If I had a regret about this, it was that I couldn’t eat more of the food that day! Lol.
The reception upstairs was so neat. I liked that we could change the party lights’ color to match our wedding theme! The bartenders did a great job during our reception as well!
Overall, Jason and his team were great about working on times to meet. They let us stay late the night before to finish decorating(which we didn’t have to do TOO much, his employees actually did a lot of the decorating for us AND cleaned up after the wedding!!)
If you’re looking for a fun, not-quite so cliche hall for your event, go with Jug’s, you...
