Service was slow, and the waitstaff seemed unorganized. The restroom was trashed. Our waitress seemed unable to multitask and handle multile tables as she passed through. It took the staff almost 5-10 minutes to clear tables off after people had left. We paid in cash to avoid the credit card surcharge. ■ It took 10 minutes after being seated for our order to be taken ■ It took 12 minutes after our order was placed to get out drinks ■ 10 minutes after our drinks arrived, our meal and appetizer came out together. We ordered two steak subs (just cheese and steak) and motz sticks. The cheese in the steak sub was cold and really skimpy on steak. Our local pizzeria would decimate them. ■ 20 minutes after our meal had arrived at the table, we had no check up by our waitress ( and our drinks were almost gone). ■ 35 minutes after our food arrived, our waitress asked if we wanted our check (we were done eating for 15 minutes by this time and even had our baskets stacked and at the side of the table). This is not the Daiker's of the past that we use to enjoy going to.

Daiker’s was a great lunch stop on our drive through the Adirondack’s. There was a long wait for a table outside, but luckily there was ample space at the outdoor bar, so we opted for that option to enjoy the beautiful views of the lake. The bartender was really friendly. The beer selection was decent. I would have liked more local beer options, but they did have a Saranac pumpkin ale, which was great (especially with the cinnamon sugar rim). The food was the only downside. I ordered the fisherman’s basket and my husband ordered a burger. The fisherman’s basket was pretty good. I enjoyed the fried scallops and shrimp, but the fish fillet was not good and the basket consisted of mostly French fries. My husbands burger was decent, but it was just a pre-made frozen beef patty. If we come back I think we will try the wings and some other items on the appetizer menu, which looked great!

A very cool bar. You'll definitely want to come here! With ping pong, shuffle board, foosball, and arcade games, family and friends won't run out of fun. Large patio seating gives a perfect overlook view of 4th lake. Large menu with an option for everyone. I would have given this place 5 stars however, prices reflect catering towards tourists ($$$) for the quality of food. The food IS good though. They also make a point to say they have issues with long tickets times or seating times and say if you don't want to wait just come back some other time! 14 years in the restaurant business and I've never seen a sign like that. But all in all it's a definite spot you want to check out! I go everytime I'm in town.

Decided to take a motorcycle ride 2.5 hours to Daikers for the scenic views and to get my wife a shirt or hoodie from there. Haven’t been in about 10 years maybe and I purchased a shirt there then and always wear it riding. Easy choice of a place to head to for lunch and fun. We arrived and were seated quickly but noticed other tables waiting for servers for a bit and they decided to go wait at bar and get their own drinks (first sign of uh oh). Another family recieved their bill and sat with it at their table for an easy 15 minutes before the father became impatient and headed inside to pay it but was stopped by his daughter and told to relax they’re coming. (2nd sign) my wife flagged down another waitress and let her know the people were growing irritated by waiting so long to pay so she grabbed it to help out the other waitress. My wife and I then ordered our drinks and food when our waitress returned. While waiting we asked the host guy what shirts they had and if they had our size so he went to check for us. Upon returning he told us they didn’t have many shirts left and he didn’t know. After a bit our food shows and waitress told us if we wanted a shirt we would need to order it at the bar because they didn’t ring it up with food, no problem. Now we have our food but drinks were forgotten. My wife ordered a fisherman’s platter or basket and it was by far extremely over cooked, it included a piece of Cod, two scallops and 4 shrimp, some French fries with a side of coleslaws. The drinks were no problem because we are in no hurry so we let her know when we seen her we still haven’t gotten drinks and she gladly retrieved them. After eating and completing our bill we headed to the bar to check on shirts. Waiting for congestion to go down some and being patient we asked and were shown two shirts XL but unfortunately they were not the ones hanging above my wife’s liked. We said thank you and went on our way. Not sure if we were there when they were short staffed or if this has become the norm of wait staff it was not as it was in the past. Things have changed and unfortunately I don’t believe this will be on our destination list no longer. We remember it being a great place to eat and have a drink and rest from riding a while but we were let down. The views are amazing and a lite breeze was swirling but the food was maybe a 4/10 at best and wait staff needed either more workers on staff or simply organization to make things...

There on a very busy night - that was not the problem! Drinks ordered - took awhile, okay, but what was ordered vs. what was received not the same. Alerted waitress, who was too young to drink and didn’t have a clue, waited for other waitress, when she finally got there agreed it was not the right thing and would be replaced. Because of time we got there, could only order off late night menu - not a problem. Pizza ordered. Still waiting for drink replacement. Did not drink what was delivered as it was not what I ordered or anything I wanted (red wine delivered - vodka cranberry ordered). Waited for meal, when pizza and other items delivered, pizza was cooked well in some areas and doughy in others but tasty. Still waiting for drink replacement, second drink delivered to husband. Meal almost done, waitress comes back - your drink will be done in just a minute. Dinner completed. Drink delivered - one sip - TERRIBLE! When bill was finally received, we paid with our debit card. Noticed bill was different than more $$$$ charged to card! Yes folks, they upcharge you for the pleasure of using your card. Asked to speak to manager who was sent over to talk to us and was loaded with an attitude and claimed he knew nothing. Asked about bill difference and he was rude indicating it was on all menus and posted all over the place. It was not on our menu, which we shared and he stated - well it’s on all of them except the late night one, but it’s all over the place inside posted. NOT. Didn’t want to know about drink, well we didn’t charge you for it! No, but you did charge me for what I ordered and was terrible. Manager only willing to argue. Couldn’t even refund the $4 drink. Wanted to know what we wanted him to do, it was busy, and we just needed to understand. He also told us that all the gas stations charge an upcharge for using g a card - nope, the ones I go to give a discount for me being a frequent customer and using my card. When we walked out, we were looking for the upcharge notices all over - it’s outside about 8 feet in the air in very small print on the corner of the building - but yes it is posted outside! Must be making a fortune on upcharge! Needless to say - our first experience is memorable and we won’t be supporting again. Manager needs communication trading with his staff as he said he didn’t even know why he was sent to our table and was completely disrespectful. Didn’t know & didn’t...

Food was fine, but we waiting 90 minutes for a table outside. I get they have to reduce tables for COVID, but they need to come up with alternatives to either make the wait better (i.e., add tables to the dock and serve beer and chips while people wait?). They ended up getting us a table inside so we could order before the kitchen closed, so that got the 1 star, then they moved us outside to another table to accommodate our request to eat outside. The waitress was really nice as well as the hostess so that got the other star. However, the table we were sat at was right outside the kitchen window and next to the bug zapper. The smell of the kitchen was like that greasy smell from a local hots place (those from Rochester know what I'm talking about.. the places you go after a long night of drinking to grab a garbage plate..). The bug zapper was doing it's job attracting bugs, lots and lots of bugs. I had about 6 bug bites in the 15 minutes we were sitting at the table, and had big bugs flying around the table, big enough to swat at as they buzzed around our heads. The waitress was again very nice, and moved us to another table away from the bugs. We try not to be "those people" who show up at restaurants and complain, and we like to understand how irritating customers can be, and try not to be irritating... you know, be a nice, respectable human being to the people in customer service jobs. These jobs can be really challenging at times... but the wait and the bug things was a little crazy. If it wasn't for the nice staff and really good food, this place would have gotten 1 star. The level of customer service and the good food really earned this place an extra 2 stars...
