Fish Tales Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of West Point

First time vistor and might be my last. First time i went, there was a wait time over an hour. I understand it was friday and they were busy. I did not have a reservation so we came back on sunday with my wife and we got 2 pizzas. Kids got Cheese pizza and it was great! My wife and i got the chickan and bacon pizza and this was the worst thing i ever tasted. I bit into something i cant explain so i am just going to call it a bone. When i asked my wife what she thought she said absolutley no flavor and tasted very bland which i agreed. I dumped crushed red pepper, parmeson cheese and tabasco just so it tasted like something. 8 slices on the tray and we left 6 and half on the tray. Glad i got some of the kids cheese pizza. Maybe their seafood is good but if u cant get pizza right what r the chances u get seafood right. Service was slowwwww and food overpriced. Our waitress didnt seem to thrilled to serve us as we brought in two kids. I usually tip 20-25% because i have kids that make a mess but i really did not want to (i did anyways because a different waitress was very friendly to my kids so hopefully she got part of the tip. I usually love this restaurant. My experience this saturday was not enjoyable. I was excited to have my favorite steak- new york strip. I asked our waiter if i could have the garlic parsley butter sauce instead of the peppercorn cream sauce. The cook said no. Unacceptable! Sauce is cheap, they dont cook the meat with it, and its super easy to switch. Because of this, i had to settle for an entree caesar salad. When the salad came, it was super small. Who in their right minds thinks this salad can be an entree? The cherry on top of the evening was our waiter was incredibly smug the whole time, and showed no empathy whatsoever. I was mad, and he didn't have a care in the world. And kept smiling at me!!! I realize in the whole scheme of things, different sauce shouldn't be such a huge issue. But it's the principle of the matter. This business deals in customer service, and this customer didn't get the service he asked for. I would honestly give this place negative marks not even recognizing stars. Let me explain last year’s Fathers Day they had a special where there was like a brunch type À la carte food, great idea right? Wrong I have never in all my life saw more unorganized, messed up, situation ever. You would think being local and supporting a business would be a worthy accomplishment, but again I was wrong, We (because my family and in-laws) have never been treated so poorly and rushed, I still had food on my plate and yes the server came hastily and grabbed my plate and said we had to go, that we were taking too long, I am sorry but I like probably most people enjoy their food and let it digest a little bit before being thrown out. I can see giving a place a horrible review because of food or service or cleanliness, but when you a rudely talked to and forced to leave because “we were taking too long” WOW!
