Very nicely spaced out tables. Was about half full when I got in. Waitress was extremely kind and helpful; I got a special of the day pancake with bacon, and my partner got eggs Benedict. We also split an order of Colleen's famous French toast. The waitress recommended trying the French toast without syrup first and my God was she right. Ugh they were so good. Crispy sugary almost shell with super creamy and fluffy bread. The pancakes I got were also an amazing mix of crunchy and soft. Incredible flavors. Devoured the entire plate. Definitely coming back if I'm ever in the area again!!!

We drove 30 minutes from Lockport to try this place out. When we arrived it was about a 30 minute wait. This is like a small mom and pop family owned restaurant, those are usually good, so we waited it out. Oh my goodness am I glad we did! Everyone was beyond friendly, the food was delicious, and prices were normal for the area. Once we were sat, the wait for food wasn't long at all. One of the servers even took time out of her (super busy- they were slammed) day to talk to my kids about music- HOW SWEET! We will definitely be returning to Nelsons Cafe! A++

Great breakfast near Niagara Falls. The portion sizes are large, and prices are reasonable. Smaller place, so on the weekends you may have to wait for a couple minutes, but it’s worth the wait. Do not leave without getting the cinnamon roll pancakes. They are by far one of the best breakfast pancakes I’ve ever had. The omelets are packed FULL of toppings to the point that they spill out (not a bad problem to have) and everything comes out hot, fresh, and quick. Waitresses are attentive, efficient, and friendly. Plan on coming back every time we’re in town!

I've been wanting to go to Nelson's Cafe since reading good reviews on Yelp, but could never get there before 2pm. On a whim today, I went. Alone. I don't usually go alone but sometimes I do, and decided to go today. I was nervous when I walked in but sat at the counter (which I have never done). There was an older gentlemen who let me sit there next to him and recommended the blueberry pancakes. I almost got the cinnamon roll pancakes, but they only sold them in an order of 3 pancakes and I only wanted 1 since I'm on weight watchers. Oh well. I got the short stack (2) blueberry pancakes, and the Nelsons Breakfast Special: I picked scrambled eggs, ham, and fruit. Everything was great! The fruit was fresh. Pancakes were amazing, though I wish the butter was on the side and not slathered on top. The price was great! 8.99 for the special and a 1.00 upcharge for the blueberry pancakes. I wasn't told about the 1.00 upcharge and would've appreciated that because I would've probably just gotten the regular pancakes to save the dollar, but that's okay. I kind of wish they had a TV in there but I read the paper and enjoying looking around at the people talking. Bathrooms were clean, the dining areas looked clean. Service was amazing and friendly and relaxed. Great atmosphere! I'll be back with some friends. It's also great that they take cards because most mom and pop diners don't. Truly I loved it here. I love local diners and this one does...

I went there with a friend that said it had good food and I wanted a new place to try. We never got to experience the delicacies. First as we entered, we were instructed not too politely that we needed to sign in and wait. HMMMMM....there were more than half of tables with no one sitting at them. I asked if we needed a reservation....haha....not the kind of place in looks or atmosphere for reservations. I was hesitant to do as requested, but for the sake of my friend, I agreed half-heartedly. Then told we needed to return to our vehicle and wait...having give a disc to be buzzed for our turn. Truly the oddest place ever. We begrudgingly returned to the car and chatted for like 20 minutes. UNACCEPTABLE. I never waitvlike that unlessnim at an upperclass type restaurant where we sit at the bar area while waiting for our table or have a drink while waiting. I had my friend return the precious BUZZER.disc and we left. After that fiasco, I expect they would've had less than acceptable food and horrific prices. Won't go...

The food is really really good. My review is only 2 stars because I’ve been here twice and BOTH times the lady that works at the front with the short hair is EXTREMELY rude. My first visit she had a horrid attitude and kept ranting about us missing one of the people in our party so we couldn’t be seated till they got there. Today I walked in with my son and we were not greeted at all just looked at very uncomfortably by this woman who just stared at us standing there by the sign that CLEARLY says please wait to be seated. Then some young girl who was also just a bystander finally came over and asked how many and if we signed in but NO ONE and NO WHERE does it say to sign in. So this lady who won’t even address me, she just allowed me to stand there. Regardless of that she is extremely unkind and not personable at all. Someone like that should NEVER work at this kind of small cozy...
