Racist! In all possible ways you can explain it. First off me and my brother are Hispanics and active duty marine corps. We have a big family, and we took a family trip up to Niagara Falls. I chose Salisa’s as the reviews were good. Upon being seated the older waitress was very rude, but my mom kept telling me to hold my tongue and be kind. We occupied approximately 4 tables in the small establishment. When an older Caucasian customer walked in the older waitress looked at them and said “good luck dealing with this mess” and rolled her eyes towards my family. Disgusted by the treatment and being rushed to order I hardly touched my food. When I walked out of the restaurant and “STILL LEFT A TIP”. The waitress comes over and says “my dog wouldn’t even leave a plate like this.” It took everything in my power not to cause a scene that day. My dad said “god doesn’t like ugly and we left.” The pancakes were also extremely dry and she wondered why I didn’t eat two the size of the plate. If you are anything besides Caucasian I suggest...
Read moreDivey little roadside diner that offers up genius portions of tasty homemade comfort food. We stopped in and sampled the turkey plate lunch along with the chicken and biscuits specials. While the turkey plate was good. The stuffing was homemade with lots of soft breading and chunks of veggies; just like your grandma would make. The green beans were perfectly seasoned and strongly reminded me of my grandmas canned beans; my favorite. The turkey, and potatoes were good, needed just a touch of s&p
Now to get down to the star of the show. Those chicken & biscuits. Imagine deliciously rich pot pie filling with a generous amount of shredded chicken mixed in, sitting on top of homemade biscuits. A deconstructed pot pie with tender veggies and packed with flavor.
Service was quick and friendly. It's the type of establishment your grandparents frequent for dinner, and everyone seems to know each other. Portions are enough to share. Highly suggest giving this hole in...
Read moreThe restaurant was very cute and cozy. We were greeted with a plate of fruit, which was awesome. Once we got our food, this is when it went downhill. We got the wrong toast, and we’re missing a plate of bacon. Waited forever for a refill on the coffee. The waitress never stopped by to ask us how our meal was even though we were sitting at the counter and she kept walking by us. So I was never able to let her know that I got the wrong toast or I didn’t get my bacon. Also, I asked for hot sauce and we got the most disgusting bottle ever, the bottle was greasy and the label was dirty. The bottle was missing its cap and it had dried crusty old hot sauce stuck to the top of it. Disgusting and dirty. We ordered orange juice and got some weird orange juice fruit blend in a bottle I found it to be poor service and a bit pricey for what you got. We probably would never go back to this place. There are much better options...
