UPDATED RESPONSE TO MANAGER. I never said I ordered on your website- I said I ordered online through the link provided on Maps, which I do ALL the time. I've never paid higher prices for a PICK-UP order because what service are they providing- an ordering platform? Grub Hub said it's up to each merchant to upcharge for PICK-UP orders.
Say what you want, but my fries were burnt- as in dark brown. The bun choice was mandatory- I could not avoid picking one, so maybe you need to update your settings. If it comes with a certain bun, there should not be a MANDATORY choice without the ONE option it says it comes with.
And since you asked- the reason it took so long to contact you was because I was driving home, which took me an hour! Also- I did ask GrubHub for only a PARTIAL refund, and they told me they had to call you and ask- that they don't refund unless the merchant approves. They said that you refused the refund and then denied that anything was wrong with our order.
Trust me, I have the facts correct- it was my food. Were you eating it with me? Did you specifically open my bag to see what food I got? No, you didn't. You are the one who needs to get your facts straight. And as far as the photos- I said our food did not look like the photos- not that they weren't your photos. I WISH I had taken a picture of my flat, crispy burger since you obviously need proof!
I am not in the habit of writing bad reviews- this was the first time I have ever written one. I'm glad you read them because now you can add rude and misinformed to the list of things that need improvement.
Looks like such a cute place and I was really looking forward to an old school juicy burger- especially because they asked how you want it cooked. What I got was thin, overcooked and had the wrong toppings. Same with my husbands. Menu said burger came with a knot roll- I got a plain dry grocery store hamburger bun. The food we got was nowhere even close to the photos posted online. Burger was SO thin and the cheese was shredded !?! and wasn’t even melted. Fries were over cooked. What we paid: $41 2 burgers 2 fries My husband said the prices inside were less expensive than what you pay online. When a restaurant links to “place your order” they don’t usually upcharge for a pick up order. Due to the fact that our order was wrong, and we didn’t notice until we drove away and actually went to eat the food. I politely requested a refund- they refused. Get off your high horse Orbachers, It’s one thing not to offer refunds when your food is so good people can’t get enough of it. But when your food sucks, you get orders wrong and your customer service is horrible. You should rethink...
Read moreWe went at the beginning of Covid and decided not to go again because their COVID protocol was non existent. Now that we are vacinnated we were looking forward to getting a winter beater plate. On a positive note the covid protocol is much better. There are no chairs at the counter and stations along the counter are numbered and spaced at least 6 feet apart so that you can order safely. You can also sit in the restaurant at tables and booths which are properly spread out. We were waited on by an inexperience person. She had a hard time understanding our order. No one seemed to be helping or supervising her though it was apparent she needed training. She did not know what a vanilla soda was. We had to point out it was not dispensed by the coke machine. The winter beater plate, in the past, had 2 meats (hots or hamburgers) with macaroni salad and fries covered with hot sauce on the whole plate of food and it was served with a roll. We got a small smearing of hot sauce on the meat only and there was no dinner roll served with the platter. My husband had to go back to get more vanilla in his vanilla soda and was ignored by the waitress even though he was right near her, finally someone else came up and asked if they could help him. The whole atmosphere seemed to have changed from what it was pre-covid. We were very disappointed. We will probably find someplace else to get our "garbage plate" fix. We were there on Monday April 26th around 7pm. No need for a gift...
Read moreWe used to go here a few times during the season. Two visits ago, I ordered a veggie burger, and it was served FROZEN TWICE! They should have taken it off the ticket, but they still charged us. We went a couple of weeks ago to give them another chance. Every establishment has a bad day, right? We found a place at the counter, and finally, someone took our order. Not the end of the world. My husband ordered a white hot, I ordered again a veggie burger, and onion rings, our granddaughter ordered her favorite, a Buffalo chicken wrap and fries. All of our orders came at different intervals. It's not ideal, as a white hot got cold before anything else arrived, but whatever. When our granddaughter's wrap came, it had RAW chicken strips in it. Luckily, she's old enough to realize it wasn't cooked. We got the server, and she told the cook and threw the wrap away, and said, sorry. Another wait while they made orders for people who had just come in. 🙄 The cook brought a new one and said with a very cavalier tone, " Oops,I grabbed the raw strips." That SHOULD NEVER happen. They did take the wrap off the ticket, but come on, raw chicken and then an oops?! Yikes! I can give a pass for a frozen veggie burger, even twice. I can give a pass for a lot of things, but NOT...
