Rootstock Cider & Spirits — Restaurant in Town of Williamson

My family and in-laws stopped by for our first time ever. Can honestly sat that we most likely won't be back. When you walk in, there is clearly cooler air somewhere but the facility is HOT and uncomfortable. We walked towards bar area learning the layout and we're trying to figure out tastings, etc. We asked for a "tasting menu" and we're handed the on draft menu with no explanation that they don't do flights of cider or anything until my MIL directly asked about it. It was clear we didn't know what was going on because we stayed a few feet back from the bar. The ciders we did try were good, but not worth the heat and complete lack of explanation of how it worked. We know what a bar is but have never been to a cidery that didn't offer flights to try the different ciders. The selections are great, including spirits for those who choose something other than beer, wine, or hard cider.

They probably needed an additional bartender that day, but these things are difficult to anticipate.

There is an indoor corn hole area. It is a large spacious building(s). A large area overlooking the corn hole area where they cook and sell food that is good and reasonable.

The bar is uncomfortably tall, even for me at 6'2". Although they had the windows open, it was stifling hot and muggy. Welcome to upstate NY in the middle of summer. The parking area needs a little attention as there was a lake forming from the rain that day.

We went to check out this place on a Friday evening. An this place is awesome! Set up inside is spacious, lots of seating and has a large indoor cornhole game area. Top notch wings, we loved the apple brandy bbq sauce. A variety of drink choices if you are not a cider drinker. The only reason I gave it four stars is we wanted to play cornhole but there were about 8 kids in the cornhole game area, under the age of 10, unsupervised just running around and throwing bean bags everywhere.
