Was highly disappointed this time around. We thought ,"let's go to Grudgeville for our anniversary dinner"... Should've went somewhere else. An older lady gets us our drinks and then walks away and conversates with the couple at the bar that arrived when we did, gets them their menus and we're still waiting. After she takes their order, I had my man just grab us menus out of the dining room. Not even a minute later she comes up and asks if we're ready to order yet. We get our order in and my man finishes his drink, while the bartender is still talking to the other couple she just grabbed his glass and refilled it WITHOUT ASKING OR EVEN MAKING EYE CONTACT. He only wanted the ONE and we still got charged for it. Then our food came and it was plated totally wrong. The main course was paired with all the wrong sides on how it was ordered. Everything was swapped around. At the end she was just trying to push us out of there like, "oh I see you're almost done, good" with a HEAVY eye roll. Needless to say, won't be coming back to one of our favorite places. Favoritism of regulars at its finest. Didn't show a sliver of care for us, didn't do a check in, didn't even try to conversate at all.
Wasn't even busy, had a group that was paying and leaving, that other couple, and us. You'd think with being that slow you'd get better service, correct...
Read moreNormally we love this place we are locals and when we eat out we go to the Grudgeville Pub. We arrived at 5:15. The bartender came over about 20 minutes later. We told her we wanted to order right away and that we were in a hurry. I had to go practice singing for my aunt's funeral. An hour latter we reminded the bartender we needed to leave soon. We left my husband behind to get the food, which showed up at 6:50p. Almost an hour and a half. I think Beth needs to hire a waitress on busy or holiday weekends. I saw two groups of people leave due to poor service. Belinda is a great bartender but she can't manage a bunch of people (few people could). I did not feel valued as a...
Read moreThis place doesn't have much in the way of curb appeal as we were driving by it. I had reservations when it was suggested we have lunch there after making a few runs on Gilmore's Mistake in our kayaks.
Upon entering the place there wasn't another soul insight other then the owner. Six of us took a seat at the bar and were prompltly greeted. They had one of my favorites on tap, Point Root Beer served in a glass so cold the soda became slushy. A tasty treat indeed! So good I had another. The burgers were tasty and cooked to perfection. Before we departed a few locals showed up to add to the experience.
We all look forward to coming back when we are in...
