Stopped at Diner after stop at Townshend rec area. Covid and summer 2023 flooding have left a mark (diner is and will remain take out only) and recovery is slowly underway. Still the spirit of Vermont was palpable and along with a hike amid vibrant colors the owner of the diner served the five of us outsde at the picnic tables on the last glorious day of fall 2023. The rain and cold arrived as we departwd but tge Vermont memory/spirit is ours forever. Thanks.

Brunched here on our way to Stowe. Great food and great coffee! We had different types of omelette and a hot ham scramble and some chocolate chip pancakes as well. The French toast was okayish but everything else was really good! Five stars for service, although it was self service whilst placing the order, the server brought us the food. They were extremely nice and friendly and very very prompt! Point to note: they only have takeout and outdoor seating.

Delicious! We stopped here for a late lunch and enjoyed a great meal. The menu was large and included a lot of specials. We ordered the eggs benedict & home fries and the corned beef hash & eggs - both were filling and super tasty. Great coffee as well. Lots of outdoor seating, which we enjoyed! The staff was very friendly and service was quick. Would definitely visit again!

Based on the other reviews of this place, we must have arrived when the staff was having a bad day. We were not greeted or acknowledged upon arrival. We sat down at the counter and were ignored for over 10 minutes while the 2 waitresses chatted with a handful of regulars. When someone finally took our drink order, she took awhile to bring them to us and take our food order. A different girl brought out our food. That one did stop and ask us how things were, once. Then we were ignored again until we flagged that girl down to ask for drink refills. We were charged for the refills, too. All this time, the girls spoke warmly to and attended to the regulars quickly. I felt like we were clearly unwelcome intruders, butting in on their social hour. I gave it two stars because the food was OK and the third girl did make some effort, but not much. The only reason I didn't walk out was it was the only place to eat nearby and I was starving. If I ever pass through there again, I will eat a granola bar to hold me until I can get to a...

Came had to wait 20 minutes outside because there is no longer seating inside. Traveled 30 minutes just to be told to wait until they completed another order that was being delivered and you have to eat outside in the car 🚙 what a waste of gas money and time very upset and disappointed so we had to look up elsewhere around the area to eat at a Diner and found Delightfully Delicious Great place and quick service indoors!!!. I'll never go to Dam Diner again or recommend it! You just lost a customer!...I'm on the Committee for Meals on Wheels in Brattleboro and The Human Services Committee that funds it FYI plus I would have checked your website but since WIFI and any kind of Internet service up that why are terrible that might have been a factor plus I also noticed lack of staffing as well so those contributing factors play a big part as well as far as enjoying Vermont clean Winter air I live and breathe it daily but one also needs to take into the fine Cuisine Vermont has to offer from eating local and not...

Since Covid, the Diner experiences have all but disappeared! It's so sad that we can't eat inside the Diner anymore, my kid was a wee one and didn't remember, so we went for a ride, saw the sign that says "Port a john in parking lot" yup, there is no running water to wash Your hands, just sanitizer. I am glad we ate in the car, she messed up the payment, charging me less, then admitting to it, she had re run my card (so glad I didn't leave). We didn't go there to RIP them off! Food is good, the people are friendly, the Diner seems to be on it's way out and it makes me so sad. There were some good times had here, and I do miss the nostalgia. Go for the food, used to be the Best Dam Diner, I can't say it's "the best", it's a Diner by a dam site, used to be the Best Dam Diner by a Dam site; times have changed, and it...
