We decided to try Three Oaks Cafe for an impromptu date night. I love a good meat and three and was willing to give it a try after driving past it several times. Boy am I glad we did! The service was great and the food followed suit. I tried Pot Roast, fried okra, macaroni and cheese, and black eyed peas. Now, this is NOT the type of meat and three that just opens up a can of beans and puts a spoonful on your plate. This food is prepared with care, spices, flavor, and probably some secret recipe from someone's grandma. The prices are very reasonable and the portions were generous. We actually enjoyed the experience so much, we went back the next morning to try their breakfast! That time, I got the Kitchen Sink Omelet with homefries. Guess what? Once again, we were more than pleased with the experience. I chowed down so fast, I forgot to take a picture! If you are still unsure, just go try it. Check the hours out, figure out how to try breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Maybe in the same day, maybe spread it out. Either way, just go! :) Thank you, Three Oaks Cafe staff, for two...
Read moreMy husband had a bacon, egg, cheese lettuce, and tomato sandwich, and I had a sausage and cheese omelet with potatoes. Both were absolutely delicious. My omelet was completely full with small chunks of sausage and melted cheese. It was one of the best omelets I have had in a very long time. My husband loved his sandwich as well. Now let's talk about the potatoes, sooo delicious! Nice and crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, and the seasoning is perfection! The best part of the meal was chatting with the owner. He is funny and very nice. He treats you like family. He made the whole experience even more pleasurable! The restaurant is adjacent to a gas station with simple decor. You place your order at the counter, and someone , in our case, the owner, brings it out to you. You buss your own table, or at least you should. You also serve yourself with coffee, utensils, and condiments. Don't let this be an issue. You are getting amazing food at an amazing price! Enjoy...
Read moreI don't know why it took me almost 3 years to try this place out, but I'm a fool for not doing it sooner. This is a real mom and pop place. Home cooked food that tastes amazing. Awesome food. But I wanna give extra credit where it is due. I have had a hard time since I got my fourth cancer. I asked them for extra gravy cause chemo kills your taste buds. A young man working the counter has been there too. God bless his heart, he payed for my lunch. When you're going through hard health problems, truck problems, water issues, etc. It weights you down. This one act of kindness from this young man who works there just made my day. I did hold the tears back till I was driving home. And I prayed for God to bless this young man. Chemo fog keeps me from remembering his name but I thank him for showing me there are still good people out there. You also just got a loyal customer. Thank you so much and God...
