The first time I went to Beto’s, I waited 7 minutes in front of the sign in the drive-thru before my order was even taken. As it was right before closing, I wasn’t super bothered. I received my food, a torta, before taking a 2 minute drive home. I was disappointed to find the fries soggy and lukewarm, and the bun of the torta stale and slightly crunchy. I shrugged this off and decided that I would return at a better time to hopefully have a better experience. It got worse. I arrived several hours before closing in hopes that they would actually care about the quality of food they sent out the window. Unlike the first visit, I got my food very quickly and I was out of there in 3 minutes. I got home and reached my hand inside the bag to discover that 98% of my refried beans had spilled out of the styrofoam box and pooled at the bottom of the grocery bag. I opened the box to see if there were any beans left. Nope. In fact, there was a layer of lettuce sprinkled over everything. I assumed it was supposed to be inside the tacos. I wondered if I had accidentally tipped the food over on my drive back home, but I knew this was impossible because immediately after getting my food I had set in on my passenger seat and drive the short drive home. It had been upright the entire time. It was almost as if they had been in the middle of making my food and had just dumped the beans in the general direction of the takeout box and had missed entirely. “Oops, I missed, boss. What do I do, make another box?” “No, that will cost us a few minutes, and time is money, my friend. Just hand it out and avoid eye contact. If he comes back, just tell him it wasn’t our fault and it’s on him. He’ll still appreciate our business after that!!” “Wait, I forgot the lettuce!” “Gosh dang it, Harold, just toss it in there! He’s already been waiting for three minutes! Time is money, remember?” Whether or not this actually happened, I would be none the wiser. Judging by the state of my food, this seemed like a likely scenario. The food itself was… okay. At the very least (not that anyone cares), I don’t think I...
Read moreNormally the food is really good and the service is very polite.. tonight was not that. Went through the drive through and had to repeat everything in my order 2-3 times. It sounded like the girl taking the order was having another conversation as I was ordering and not really paying attention. Not a biggie as long as my order is right. But after telling her that was everything I wanted I wait and there is a long silence, so I repeat that had completed my order (thinking maybe there is difficulty in us hearing each other) and her response was “I know, pull around to the window for your total. I already said that by the way.” I just rolled my eyes and pulled forward.
Even though we were the only car in the drivethru and our order was small, we waited at the window for about ten minutes before she comes to the window and hands us our drinks. She is very short with her questions and unfriendly and she even closed the window and walked away when I asked for sauce. Amazingly, the food was made as ordered but it was all lukewarm like it had been sitting and yet- somehow, the cheese isn’t melted on anything.
I’m not the type that asks for managers or create conflict but the whole experience was unpleasant and nothing like I’ve experienced there before. Just seemed like a group of teenagers irritated by customers. I’m not surprised to see other negative reviews coming through minutes before mine. Maybe management may take...
Read moreThis is the cleanest restaurant I've been to, consistently. I've done restaurant general management for over a decade and have not been more impressed with a single restaurant as I am with this Betos location. I like Betos food, ive frequented the Brigham, Ogden and Logan locations for years, the menue is fairly consistent is flavor, the portions not as much. Here the portions i find much better and always consistent with every visit. The sauces are the best here, a 100 times better then any other location, for example in Brigham, there red saucs taste more like ketchup then hot sauce. And this location has an amzing green avocado sauce, i litteraly can not say enough good about the condiments. The staff here are always friendly, truly customer services agents. This attitude of service is hard to find in the workplace today, especially in teenagers, which is what I noticed makes up most of the staff here. I held back on this review for about a dozen visits to this location to make sure it was bot that I just went on a "good day". My husband cleaned hoods fir years and told me he use to clean this location and too said it was always the cleanest hood they ever cleaned, consistently. The management in this location has highest level of care I've seen, period. I suspect it is probably managed by the owners. I now never pass through tremonton without eating here. This is really a very unsuspecting litte...
