I used to eat from Bamboo Grill ALLLLL the time. Before the pandemic, I ate from there 5 days a week. At their old location, the guy and young girl that worked counter knew my voice when I called in and knew my name. I would go on my lunch break and grab their delicious food. I live 20-25 minutes from restaurant so during and after pandemic I would drive down to get some food. After moving to new location, the workers at front desk are super rude. But I would ignore that, grab my lunch and go.
One day I went and grabbed lunch. I drive about 10 minutes, park, and get ready to eat a little before running into grocery store. Well, when I picked up open platter I saw a tiny bug crawling on the crease. I am terrified of bugs so I immediately close the platter, put it back into bag, tie it up and throw it out. I call the restaurant to alert them because I didn't want it to happen to anyone else. So, I called explained the situation to first employee, then phone was given to employee #2, then they passed it on to owner or manager. Well, the line of questioning was very accusatory as if I was trying to get another platter for free. She wanted to me to bring the food back. I let her know that I threw it away. I didn't want the bug crawling into my car or something. So, she said I should have brought it back or took a picture. I explained that I wasn't trying to get a free platter based off of lies. All I wanted to do was enjoy some good food. I told her that it was in the crease and not on food where it was extra gravy which meant it may have come from where the platter was sitting. Read moreI have eaten at Bamboo Grill many times. I usually do my orders through door dash because of my busy work schedule. The food and customer service has always been excellent. The point of this post was to discussed what happened to me on 10/22/2025. The lady at the front desk who wears the jewel in her hair wasn't having the best day, how do I know? She said it while taking my order. I told her it's okay. I placed my order along with 2 beef patties. Unfortunately, the patties were sold out and she apologized. She offered me a drink and I believe she also give me an extra side of cabbage. She was so apologetic but I wasn't upset, why? Because she said while taking my order earlier she wasn't having the best day. I understand anyone in my situation would have been upset, but I have always had a good experience and the food has always been good. She even went out her way to let me know when I go back again she will personally give me 2 beef patties. At this point she owes me nothing and I hope she forgets. Now, will I be going back? of course, because the customer service skills and her mannerisms have always been the best. I also hope she had an amazing rest of the week. Read moreThis place was recommended to me by someone who's never been here before! So since I was in the area I decided why not, I'll try them! I called ahead like the ratings suggested. Well I still waited for the food, no biggie right!! The lovely young lady that took my order was very nice in the phone and in person(I can't say that much for the heavy set young man at all). So that made the fact I was waiting ok. I get back to where I was to eat..... 1st. They only give me four very dry, and cold plantains with the meat combo (it's a large with two choices of meat) 2nd. The cabbage was very very hard not steamed just cut and served. Now I like a little crunch to my cabbage but this was just raw cabbage. 3rd. I got one piece of jerk chicken, it was very flavorful and cold. 4th. I got Curry goat also cold. I was only 5 minutes away from where I was going so no way after I waited and the 5 minutes drive should it have been cold! I thought the price was good for what I ordered, the service (from the young lady) was good, but the food should've been warmer, and cooked just a little longer (just the cabbage) and just maybe, no not maybe more chicken.
