My husband and I went here for Valentines dinner. The decor looks like a scene from Kitchen Nightmares- drab, plastic table covers, and weird paintings. The steaks were over $50 each by the time we paid them to cook them for us. We ordered calamari and it was bland and oily with generic cocktail sauce. We order calamari often and this was the worst we’ve ever had. I sent it back and the waitress brought us the fried cheese cubes instead - which were delicious. Our waitress and hostess were both super nice. The steaks had zero salt and pepper or seasoning on them. We ordered the strip and ribeye which were tender, nice cuts of meat but they had zero seasoning or basting. Baked potato had rotten corners that I cut off and zero seasoning. The baked beans were straight from a can. Salad was drenched in “house” dressing and bagged ice berg lettuce. The croutons were drenched in oil and fried. The Texas toast was dredged in oil and grilled - gross. The peppercorn sauce (extra $3) was an oily gravy sauce. Overall the food was terrible. It was almost $200 to eat here (after 20% tip) and it was absolutely terrible. We will not be going back or recommending it. Also it took over 1 and half hour to get our steaks!

Quite a steaming mess regarding outdoor seating. Three of us seated at a table for two in direct sunlight with a non-tilting umbrella. I couldn't see due to sunlight smack in my eyes. We had to place salt and pepper, dressing and condiments on the ground to make room for our plates. Not joking.... Note that we asked to be moved before our food arrived, but we were told, "sorry no table changes after orders have been placed." The effect had us wishing we were back in Arizona's 110F with tilting umbrellas and a suitably sized table. Steak quality was lacking. Nothing like what we're used to from the Midwest, they were bottom of the barrel with plenty of gristle in the Porterhouses. I'd have been disappointed at $15, so it wasn't the price. We drop $200 for three in the Phoenix area, but for MUCH better quality beef. Service left a lot to be desired. We think the ghost died of thirst waiting for his drink. Went once, won't be burned twice. Have told our friends and relatives in the area not to bother.

Very interesting experience of an oddly casual, fine dining restaurant. Atmosphere is old farm house style (you would never expect the fine dining food.) They have two different menus. One is a very normal “American” restaurant menu and the other is in line with the “fine dining grill house” option. Party tried the 6oz filet and the 10oz kobe steak. All grill menu items come with unlimited salad (balsamic dressing), baked potatoes with toppings, Texas toast, baked beans and caramelized onions. Everything was cooked perfectly. Only reason for the 4 star rating is because our server never brought us caramelized onions, nor the mushrooms that we ordered. She could have been a little more attentive and those details would have made the dinner even better. Definitely worth the visit if you’re looking for a good meal with LOTS of food. *You have the option to cook your own meat or their chefs can prepare for you. (You will pay a little extra on the weekends if you don’t cook your own protein choice.)

First time going and last. The hostess was so shocked she couldn't believe we have never been there she couldn't even explain the complicated 4 menu system. After the 5 minutes to explain why I needed 4 different menus we found a table. 30 seconds after getting to the table the waitress said "Alright I'll take your order now" I said we have no idea what we want yet " insanely shocked by the outcome she said ohh alright while ohh do you want a drink or appetizer" I said I have no idea what drinks you serve yet she said "everything is in the drink menu" after finishing the novel of drinks I said there is nothing in there I want to drink I don't like alcohol surprised like a kid on Christmas she stumbled to say ohh we also serve Coke products I said do you also serve tea she ohh yeah we have tea and raspberry tea. We got 1 tea 1 raspberry 1 root beer for my son(eats pretty much anything important later) she said she would get a kid cup for him because it's a glass bottle I said the bottle is fine she said our you sure like my son wasn't capable of drinking out of a bottle I said yes she then started to question it again I said give him the bottle. She just walked off with attitude. About 10 minutes later we got drinks and she asked if we where ready to order yet because clearly no 1 holding or looking at a menu means your unsure we said yes so I ordered the guaranteed fresh perch basket no coleslaw give the fries to my wife's meal and the combo basket she said judging me you want 2 meals I said yes is that not ok she said no it's fine my wife ordered the perch also no coleslaw and fries my son got battered cod and fries 30 minutes later worse food I ever got at a restaurant frozen nasty horrible no seasoned over cooked perch my wife's was the same my son's was the same he ate only a few fries the tartar sauce was also probably one of the nastiest I have ever ate the 3 of us used a lot of the salt from the table salt shaker for the fries and fish and could barely taste the salt still the coleslaw we all got was discarded to the side of the table apparently asking for something to not be there doesn't matter they don't care my drink I left at half full my wife's was about a quarter full when we got the food and 3rd time we have seen the waitress sense being there 25 minutes after we got our food everyone is bored out of there minds just sitting there waiting for service we where never asked if we needed refills or wanted anything else or even how anything was she just came over said here is the bill I put my card on the tray she took off I could see her pick up the card look confused swipe it and start it processing then go-to a group of wait staff standing around talking ask them about my very unique credit card then got the receipt came back and asked if we wanted anything to drink desert or to go bags for the food I said no thanks we are good taking my metal blank only logo and chip card back and recite and walked out. On the recite we learned the name of our waitress...

We had a wedding reception at the restaurant and the wait staff's service for the party size was excellent. However, when we were leaving the managers were setting up for the next party and all but rushing us out the door. In this process, two to-go containers were slid off of a small table (on accident by a manager) onto the floor. It was the bride's leftover steak and shrimp and the groom's steak and baked beans that had been spilled. The manager proceeded to make a joke about giving the steak that fell out of the box to a dog at home, with no attempt to replace food or apologize for the spill. I asked our server if there was anything they could do as it was a special day and the food was paid for. The server offered a dessert (which was appreciated). I then asked to speak with a manager and she was instantly defensive and hostile. She said "we didn't do it", "we didn't even want to accommodate the party of that size, we don't do receptions". I asked for another steak (smaller than the one ordered as it was not a whole steak that was in the box). This request was received as completely absurd and the manager accused us of wanting "all this free stuff". She continued to speak with a raised voice and a defensive tone when making it a point that the customer isn't always right. There was no attempt made to come to a calm conclusion even though she was the only party who was behaving unacceptably. In this, she stopped addressing me altogether and began speaking to my fiancé like I was not the one who had requested to speak with her in the first place. She made references like "why would you want to come back anyway?" and "I would speak with the bride" as if I was going to inconvenience her like that ON HER WEDDING DAY. She scoffed and at one point even offered a raw steak for us to "cook at home" which is completely unacceptable as a raw steak was not ordered and paid for. I told her on my way out after receiving her business card and nothing else that the review left would be unfortunate. She continued to speak with an attitude and relay the message that we were not welcome back. I have never experienced such a poor example of customer service in ANY establishment, let alone that of a supposed nicer steakhouse. I am sad for this because I know that the bride and her family really like the food here. Even though me, my fiancé, and his brother were told not to come back, I really hope that she doesn't go back either. After all of the money that was spent by our party, for our business to be so unappreciated was astonishing. The food and atmosphere of this restaurant will NEVER be worth the experience we...

I hate giving this place 2 stars. It’s has so much potential. My GF and I met friends there for dinner. The tables are like 30”x30” and there is no room for the basics let alone plates of food. First off there are two different menus. The first menu is the grill menu which is basically steak blah blah blah and then there is a secondary menu which is the pub menu which is all kinds of sandwiches and things that you would expect from a pub. Still not sure why they put two menus out because there are no room for them on the tables and we were very confused as if we were supposed to be in the pub to order from the pub menu. I didn’t even see a pump anywhere. etc. we ordered Deep fried pickles for an App. Was told 10 min. Later that that the cook couldn’t get the batter to stick to the pickles, would we like something else. We ordered. I ordered a shaved ribeye patty melt, my girl ordered an app of deep fried steak cuts. My Ribeye was tagged on the menu as being a best seller. It was a pita wrap, with very little shaved ribeye, some thousand island horseradish sauce stuff that was terrible. The pita bread was way too thick and way too much the sauce was way too overpowering and the last thing you tasted was any ribeye. As a matter of fact the husband of our friend was undecided when we ordered our food and tried mine and he spit it back out onto the plate. My girl with the deep fried steak and tasted like leftover steak cuts deep-fried with cornstarch there was no flavor at all. They do offer grill your own steak in this little room offset from the main dining area but the whole place is just set up like an old farmhouse. You meander through these different rooms It’s just very weird. When I left I seen the cook your own steak area and it was basically like a bedroom in a farmhouse with some downdraft grills in it. Again there was really no theme or flow to the place it was like I was renting a room in an old farmhouse. I will never go back I can assure you that. I mean for the $80 I spent we actually went home and made ourselves a sandwich and some chips afterwards. Very...
