A new burger joint in the area, that is absolutely amazing. The Buns of Glory food truck is still only a few weeks into operations, and already garnering (rightful) praise for their burgers. The ground beef for the burgers is fresh every day, as are the toppings, and all are sourced locally. The young people preparing the food are cheerful and friendly, and seem to genuinely enjoy creating the great burgers and fries that they serve. I chatted with one of the owners while waiting, and he filled me in on some of the history and their approach to the market. Limited menu, fresh ingredients, and pricing that is more than fair. It is a family effort that they hope to grow carefully and organically, by word of mouth, while maintaining the excellent quality.
The burgers: one of the best, if not the actual best, I've ever eaten. The Glory Burger was at least as good as the best In-n-Out burger I had several years ago that was the first off the grill just after 10:00 AM opening in Fresno, CA. I normally am not crazy about bacon on burgers, but this was good bacon that did not detract from the flavor of the hamburger. The fries are also very good, crispy on the outside and lightly fluffy inside, accompanied by a delicious dipping sauce, The pricing is remarkably modest, no one is trying to make an immediate fortune off us here, but this place should do very well for the owners if the quality remains consistent.
It's "drive up & take away" style, there is no seating unless you bring your own. Canned/bottled drinks are available, and they accept cash and cards.
If you're curious, absolutely give this place a try, I'm certain that you will be...

We got the glory burger x2. Not entirely what we expected for smash burgers but they were goodish. The patties were thick and not smashed or crispy, the flavors all kind of blended together making it blan and the buns are nearly non existent, very thin and we're completely smashed. The bacon is definitely that pre cooked microwave bacon which is fine for what you're paying for. The size and what you get for the price IS what makes this great deal. You will NOT find a double burger with bacon anywhere for $10!
The fries. We're cooked well and my favorite type of fries however they stacked them and put them in the bottom of the bag and burgers on top so when we got to where we were eating (8min away) they were all stuck together and soggy. I asked for sauces and we got none unsure if we were charged for them. It's an okay amount of fries for $4 (WAY better than Brewhouse smash burger...).
The atmosphere is non existent and there is no seating outside so you kinda either eat in your car or take it to go. There are benches over in front of port taco but none around buns of glory...
Service was friendly, a bit hectic but nice and food...
Read moreThey are doing great! I LOVE burgers and finally got to try this place out. I am torn now for the #1 slot in my Thurston County favorite local burger IMO. I am stuck between Eastside Big Tom and Buns of Glory being #1. Third place being Eagan's and 4th being Vans.
Everything was fresh here. Soda comes in nice and COLD (big plus) 20oz bottles. Thank you for having a couple choices in diet flavors! Excellent, flavorful, fry sauce. Fries are good and crispy and they automatically come with one fry sauce for dipping! Burgers wrapped in foil and stayed warm (I eat fries first). Burger was not dry at all.
Only minor changes I would recommend to the owners as you will for sure grow. Ranch for fries would be amazing. A good, thicker, homemade, type. If you can splurge and get Heinz ketchup packets. It helps. Lastly, a couple tables, with comfortable chairs to sit at but I do understand theft and convenience could be an issue.
I hope your company prospers and we can locally see you in a restaurant setting soon! Thank you for a...
