I've been here several times and today was by far the worst experience I've had.

My server was Paige A. I came with a coworker. It took a bit for someone to bring us drinks and take our order, but that's not a big deal. Paige who is clearly rushing comes over takes our order and informs us she's about to get off. When she brings the food back she asks us to go ahead and pay as she gets off at 1. We just got our food, we haven't even tasted it yet and she's already asking us to pay. I prefer to pay via phone when possible, and I'm not paying immediately for something I have not tasted. My coworker paid right then, and I told Paige I would pay with my phone as I know she's ready to get off, as she let us know it was time for her to get off as soon as we got there. My coworker said being asked to pay right then made her uncomfortable when Paige left the table.

Paige gave me a weird look and says well I'm here until 1. I said okay, and told her I would pay via phone again. The food was fine. I scan the QR code and paid at the end of my meal and after I checked the to go order I had. Depsite her poor five minutes of service, I also left a tip when I paid as I know service workers need them. The to go was a BLT and there were no condiments put in the bag. It does not come dressed so condiments are needed.

As we're leaving I go ask for mayo packets. Paige and another woman that seated us are giving me a weird look again. They blew past my condiment request and immediately ask me if I paid. They were standing at the register watching me at the table when I paid so I know they saw me pay. They were also whispering when I walked up as I heard them and mumbled to my coworker what do they think I'm stealing? There are tons of cameras in the place so this can all be easily verified.

I said yes I paid. I had the receipt in my hand when I walked up. The other lady starts stuttering and asks can I see your receipt we need to check, we've had internet issues today. I do not belive that based on their general behavior and the fact that they were whispering and watching me when I got up. She verified that I did pay and only after that does Paige go get the mayo I asked for. Then she says she can't leave work until her tickets are closed.

As I'm going out the door. Paige again says so she did pay? The other lady had already told her that so that tells me everything I need to know. I also know for a fact they can see open tickets in the system as I've had them verify me paying by phone before without needing my reciept. On a previous visit, I got an error paying online and didn't get an emailed receipt even though the payment was successful. Another lady went and pulled it up in their system and verified I had paid and didn't ask me for anything.

I have never been accused of stealing at any place I've gone to and definitely not for $27. My coworker and are debating if we will even come back as she felt that was poorly handled as well.

If your workers are going to basically accuse/imply someone is trying to steal, provide better training or remove the option to pay from scanning the code. Making people feel uncomfortable and watching them is beyond inappropriate. If I had know that would happen, Paige would not have gotten a tip from me. It wasn't deserved in the...

After hearing favorable reviews from family I was eager to eat at Sadies. Unfortunately it was an all around disappointing experience. First, I had to stand and wait for the hostess to acknowledge my presence and lead me to a table. Then the wait for anyone to come get my drink order was about 15 minutes. Food arrived over 20 minutes later. I kept hearing the staff apologize to others that they were short staffed, yet the those on the floor seemed to be a bit apathetic, not in any hurry take orders, serve, check on diners, etc. The table of 6 next to me who were seated at the same time I was didn’t have anyone take their drink/ food orders until after I had received my food. People who sat at the counters were waited on almost immediately, so that’s a good strategy if you don’t want to wait. The food was a disappointment: country fried steak was thin and overcooked to the point of being rubbery almost impossible to cut with knife. It repelled the blade as it slid around threatening to slide off plate. The slaw was vinegar based, which I like, but this tasted like it was strictly only cabbage and vinegar, heavy on the vinegar. On the other hand, the fried okra was delicious! and the turnip greens were very good.

Another wait happened at the register for someone to come and take my money.

Upon telling family of my experience, I was told they’ve been twice, had lousy service despite the restaurant not being busy, and they won’t go back. That’s a shame since this area needs a...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sadie's Diner in Vance, AL and I must say, it was an incredible experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly captured the essence of a classic diner.

The new meat and 3 option on the menu caught my attention, and I decided to give it a try. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The meat was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful. The sides were equally delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. It was the perfect comfort food meal that left me feeling satisfied and content.

But the real star of the show was the cheesecake. Oh my goodness, it was out of this world. Creamy, rich, and perfectly sweet, it was the perfect ending to an already amazing meal. I couldn't resist taking a second slice to-go, it was just that good.

Overall, Sadie's Diner exceeded my expectations in every way. The themed atmosphere added a fun and nostalgic touch to the dining experience, and the food was simply outstanding. I highly recommend giving Sadie's Diner a visit if you're in the Vance area. You won't be disappointed!

Food was okay, however, our server Noah was absolutely horrible. When we came in we were sat next to two dirty tables (no other customers there and employees standing around). Noah finally came to our table after being sat and waiting for 15 minutes. Took our order and when asked about recommendations straight up said he’d only been there a couple of weeks but the Mac and cheese didn’t look appetizing (unprofessional). When I asked for ranch for my fries he asked why would I want ranch with my meal. Then judged my sister because she wanted extra mayo with her sandwich. We sat there with empty cups for the remainder of our meal and literally had to wave him down to get our checks after waiting over an hour with empty glasses while he twirled in circles behind the counter. When asked why he didn’t come back he said he was “busy” with no other tables in the restaurant. Will not be back for the simple fact we were neglected and talked to as if our complaints didn’t matter.

A great place to eat! Whether you’re traveling or just looking for some place to eat. We’ve ordered the catfish plate (blackened and fried), Mahi Mahi, Patty melt and meatloaf. They all came out great! Enough portion for a person to eat and enjoy. Great attitude from staffs, especially Kimberly, our waitress. She’s so kind! Especially being a new year day. Prices were fair and affordable. The bakery side was nice and plenty of selections to choose. But maybe putting names and prices on the bakeries will help customers to identify them better. Nice atmosphere and vibes as well. Clean bathrooms. Also a good size Dog Park on site. That’s a plus for travelers like us with a dog. Overall great experience and will be back again for sure!
